JUST MADE THE MOST EPIC CITIZEN ARREST (SrS) (STORY)(GTFIH)
Just gonna copy the story from my FB status.
Still shaking but adrenaline is fading and my knee and thumb are pretty busted up.
While out for my nightly intervals down church street a man ran up to me in the middle of the road, ripped off his shirt and started swinging at me. I ducked to the side so I could get my headphone out to figure out what was happening. He yelled some stuff and we split up.
I followed him down college while on the phone with 911 while he continued to assault people. While trailing 50 or so feet behind I saw him reach into a stroller and grab a baby by the throat and try to pick it up.
Against the advice of the 911 woman I sprinted up and tossed him out of the sidewalk. He ran ahead, knocking over several garbage cans and punching a golden retriever in the head.
I kept following him getting into shoving matches with him along the way. Still no sign of the 5-0 but I was still on the line with them.
He goes into the extremely crowded subway, jumps the turnstile, I jump behind him and follow him to the track level losing 911 on the phone.
He's standing on a crowded platform about to disappear and waving bye to me with a smile on his face. I keep taunting to get him to follow me back up.
A gentlemen resembling a pro football player and several others step in front of me saying "whys a big guy like you trying to assault this little guy?"
I then realize I'm about to get my ass whooped by a mob and I explain the baby assaulting part of the story.
At this point I have about 50 cell phone cameras on me.
The gentlemen with the big muscles says "Lets do a citizen arrest right now!" I said "can we!?" He said "let's go!"
The baby brawler turns to run bouncing off of people on the crowded subway platform with a train docked blocking the rail luckily for a few people.
An enormous arm reaches over the crowd grabbing the guy by the back of the shirt just to slow him down enough so I could grab his legs and dump tackle him onto the platform in front of about 100 people and iPhones.
The other guy must have done this 100 times before because he's yelling all this citizen arrests criminal code stuff.
I heard the college station intercom say that all trains had been stopped at college station due to a passenger emergency. I was just trying to catch my breath while people shoved cameras in my face.
Several people came to the bad guys defence while we had him pinned on the ground thinking we were assaulting him, to which the other gentlemen was yelling that he had assaulted a baby and that we were performing a citizen arrest. The other guy must have weighed about 240lbs so between the 2 of us on this 140lb guys back it probably looked pretty aggressive.
After about 10 minutes of wrestling and having him pinned the platform stormed with a team of police who roughed him up way worse than we had and then cuffed his ass.
Home now. Adrenaline PUMPING. Protein shake in hand.

You have to be careful with that sh*t bro. You can't detain someone physically or assault someone and then claim citizen's arrest. You'll end up being the one arrested.
I'm pretty sure you can just say "This is a citizen's arrest, stop and wait for the police." If the guy runs away you cannot physically detain him or assualt him.
At least that is my understanding in the US.
