THIS IS MY MUDDAPHUCKING LOG THAT I STARTED A WEEK LATE
Just finished my first day of the second week of the smolov base cycle. My max before starting the program was 365 for a single but i wasn't sure if i actually hit depth on that lift so i dropped the program max to 350 so i would actually be able to hit the numbers for each week.

Today: High bar squats 265 lbs 4x9. These went EXTREMELY well. much easier than last week's 245 for the same rep scheme.
After the squats came 5 sets of pullups. I shot for eight reps on each set, but I only hit that on the first and second.
I could include video of my workouts but i feel as though it would be irritating to watch since i grunt like an idiot and lift shirtless in my garage, misc probably would not want to see this.
Next workout is on Wednesday.

Yesterday I did 285 for five sets of seven beltless.
I went absolutely crazy during this session, as I have been shut up in my house by my own volition for days, which makes me feel like a depressed sack of chit. The only chance I get to blow off some steam is under the bar.

Did 300 for seven sets of five today.
I claim to be doing powerlifting training yet i find that going slightly below parallel on my squats makes them HARDER. Which is why i squat olymnpic highbar in chucks. call me crazy but if find that squatting highbar simply fits my body better.
Regardless of my technique, this session was the hardest yet and I had to go to a dark place to finish the last five reps.

The intro cycle was very difficult for me. so much volume in only three days was an eye opening experience.
Do WHATEVER it takes to finish your sets during the first week. if you slack then the next two weeks will be virtually impossible.
If I had to do this in a commercial gym I would have failed at some point during the session in the video, since i would not be able to get properly psyched up for the sets.

These shoes were a great buy. 275 for four sets of nine today in a hot a$$ garage. really excited to see how fast 330 moves on saturday.

Today was my last day of the base meso, and it went pretty chitty.
I wnet to my local gym today to train with a friend of mine, so the atmosphere sucked. no yealling, no droppin weights and no hardwork allowed. I completely disregarded this rule and trained sort of like i do at home, minus the shirtless squatting and loud music.
the frist four sets of 330 went great, was not happy with the bar speed though. then when the fifth set came around, i bombed on the final rep of three and had to dump the bar.
I moved the weight down to 325, did four more good sets, then bombed on the final rep of the last set even though i yelled like an idiot like i usually do before getting under the bar.
feelsbadmayne.
on the plus side though i did hit 225 for 3 sets of five on bench press. all reps were paused. So thats a huge improvement compared to my sig. no vids but its still a PR so go me.

Goals for the meet:
400 pound squat
270 pound bench
450 pound deadlift

I leave for michigan tomorrow. weighing in at 195 right now so i cant go crazy with food right now or else ill be lifting with the big boys.

Brah's....
Lifted at the meet yesterday. Hit pr's in everything. will post vids eventually. I am now planning to keep bulking while decinding what my next move is program wise.
I'll either start madcows or keep trucking with smolov, although im not sure i want to just keep freaking squatting all the time. Sheiko is also an option.

Ordered my bench off of amazon today, hopefully will be in by friday. I HAVE AMAZON PRRIME SO IF IT TAKES LONGER THAN A WEEK I'M DONE TRAINING. not srs.
Went into the garage today and trained very stupid. I pulled 405 for 2 while amped from ammonia caps, which I regret. Might seem strange but I only want to use those for meets and when a program calls for max effort deadlifts.
