If you truly love someone, then there shouldn't be anyone else in this world you desire. Sure its OK to notice someone or admire, but you can't consider acting upon those thoughts. True love outweighs the desire to do wrong.

I would say feeling tempted in the beginning isn't normal. When you're really into someone the thoughts don't go past noticing an attractive person. If you've been together for a really long time that's different, but even then it shouldn't be a constant struggle to stay faithful.

Totally agree. I've never lusted for another guy while in a relationship but I've felt a longing for those new love feels it definitely puts a spot light on what your current relationship is lacking.

The largest issue here is simply that alot of people ITT are posting reasons for why their S/O degenerated into something they'd cheat on. That isn't the question here, nor the answer.

If you love someone, respect them and actually mean well, you dump them for those reasons, not cheat on them.

There is ZERO excuse for having so little respect for someone that you cheat on them before dumping them. Even if you no longer love them, or even like them, at least respect the time you spent together enough to not diminish it, the memories or their efforts with something so terrible and hurtful. People deserve better.
