How long did you lift before you "looked like you lift"?

Just for fun. Nothing related to how your routine was, your diet, your sleep etc etc. Just the straight-forward question.

I mean "looked like you lift" to people who have never met you. It's easy for your friends to notice changes in you, so that doesn't count, as they're comparing you to your older self. Something along the lines of:
"You look big man, do you lift weights or something?"

7-8 months I think. 1 year is when everyone notices. What really counts is when they don't even have to ask at around 1.5 years

Not there yet... Most of my friends just think I got fatter though. Around 17% body fat right now. I think I'll look I lift when I cut to 10-12%. I can see my abs popping out at 15%ish.

most likely never unless im wearing a shirt that drapes over my shoulders nicely. or if the sleeves are short enough to see arm cuts.

I got mad chest gains real fast so it was like half a year for me. About a year into it now and I typically get comments on my size a few times a week, depending on who I'm with. I look bigger than I am cuz my chest genetics are pretty decent compared to most people though

7-8 Month went from being the walking twig to the Teen version of Mike Chang (Everyone calls me that since I'm Asian.. Yes I know Mike Chang is dumb)
Compliments at least once a week now. Each one is a giant self esteem boost

Depends on shirt size. If I'm wearing a large, then it looks like I might know what the inside of a gym looks like. In an XL I just look like a fat sack of chit lol.

Lol I still dont, and probably never, my abs stick out a heck of a lot more than my chest, so I just look like a dude with a gut hahaha, and well, I sorta look like I lift only when going to the pool ._.

sophomore year, hell maybe even freshmen year. "big guy" or something like that is usually said. Best one i got was some homeless guy called me "bonecrusher"

5 months to notice without clothes, 1,5 year to notice with clothes.

7-8 months is when you'll start to look noticeably more muscular than average guys and people will ask you if you're hitting the gym

1 year is when people will start noticing and complimenting you

1.5 years is when it's obvious that you lift and people will start to really mire

Beyond that people will just mire more and more

well I have a rly lean physique so its hard to notice if I lift while wearing lots of clothes and for most I think. but if its wearing a short sleeve shirt id say 4 months coz my arms exploded the most when I started training. my chest is big but barely sticks out coz bad posture and also my right shoulder is out of place like dislocated which basically hides my right pec from the side view lol and coz of that my left pecs looks 2-3x bigger from the side view besides also being like 30% bigger id say. sux lol!

i've been lifting for about 5 months and people have started to notice that i've gotten bigger

People thought I lifted before I started. Not because I'm anywhere near impressive size or anything, but because my entire school and city is full of skinny little swag-***s that think being more than 150lbs is ridiculous. If my area had normal people, it'd probably take over a year from today before people thought I lifted.
