If that were true, he would have most likely been unconscious, and if he were conscious, everyone knows the fumes kill you before you start burning.

He was probably either unconscious or stunned/in shock from the impact. I guess no one will ever know but that's what I'd like to believe if I knew him.

he was prolly blacked out but not dead yet.

Other reports say it will take two weeks for the full autopsy report. They just say that he died from impact and fire. I hope he was dead or unconscious when the car caught fire.

I think he started slipping into unconsciousness after impact and was aware of the fire but was just slipping so bad he just went to sleep.
