my heart belongs to MMA, but there's nothing like a bigtime main event boxing match. there's an intangible aura around it like nothing else in sports.

One of my biggest complaints about MMA is something apparently Dana thinks shouldn't be in MMA, which is the pageantry, or the more professional-look to it. You have 100 people fill a ring in 20 minutes with 30 flags of different countries and the singing of national anthems, the plethora of famous peoples' faces you can actually SEE in the seats closest to the ring, you make it an EVENT, rather than just another fight. It goes hand and hand IMO with the shorts, which a lot of MMA fighters wear the same stuff amateurs wear, or they just look like they're wearing their swim trunks, it's just not quite the level of pageantry as boxing's elite level.

Floyd's toughest fight since ODH. Should be a great fight but I wouldn't be surprised if it gets overshadowed by Garcia/Matthysse. That one should pure fireworks.

Right, but a grueling weight cut can drain your stamina even after dehydration and a night's sleep, especially when he's cutting two more pounds than he usually does. Lets hope we see the best Canelo, though

I agree with this, it builds the atmosphere and makes the fight seem more important, that stuff gives me goosebumps everytime.

LAWL! Strong sense of no Science. Rehydrating and refeeding too much is almost as bad as being dehydrated. Why this fight seems this close is beyond me.

1. Canelo looked great. healthy, not sucked out, and smiling. That's a good sign for a great fight tomorrow.

2. More people showed up to the weigh-in than a small UFC show. this fight has just insane, insane interest around it

Canelo got in Floyds head, reminds me of when Anderson Silva was trying to get Weidman to pose with him with the belt and Weidman was serious all business everyone counted weidman out. The thing is the only way Nelo to win is a ko, and if he can catch Floyd lean back like he does a lot with his hands down to avoid punches he has a shot.

Canelo looked drained to me, but he is young so the weight cut hopefully wont affect him, but if you watched him fight before you already know he has stamina issues so this catchweight was made for a reason.
