Did I get a good lease deal on this BMW

Not I but my dad, was just curious to the thoughts. It's a 2013 BMW 528xi with the technology package(navigation and such) plus the whole rear view camera, side view camera stuff, heated seats. The MSRP on the paper on the car said 59,000 for the car. Anyways he got it for $449/month, $2000 down, 10,000 miles/yr, 36 months.

Thoughts on this deal?

Lol at some of your *******s lack of understanding in finances. These days unless you are a really ballin with millions of dollars and can buy a car and not even notice it in your account I don't see why you WOULDN'T finance a car. If you have aesthetic credit score most of the time you can get 0% to 1.9% APR financing. If you have 60k why would you buy a car outright if you can put 10k down and invest the rest with return percentages ranging between 7-10%.



Also leasing is a good option even if you can't write it off on taxes.

Example

Car: BMW 335i
Cost: 50k pretty loaded
Lease: 379/mo for 36 months
Due at signing: $3750

Now 379x36+3750=17,394

So after 3 years you have spent 17k on it and have the option to buy it off, get a new one or just give it back and not give a phuck. If you would have bough with cash and wanted to sell it after 3 years by this time it's value would be around 22-28k depending on mileage and you would end up losing roughly the same amount of money if not more by buying. Plus you gotta deal with the hassle of selling or trading and losing even more money.


Edit: leasing is a bad option though if you drive a lot or don't know how to take care of a car.

Not once have I thought of mileage. It's only like 20 cents per mile you go over too
