Macros dialed in PERFECT right now... maintaining/growing and dropping fat. Weighed in at 176.2 today...abds coming out...veins in legs starting to pop. Not real thrilled with the diet and cardio...but I can do this.
Legs and shoulders tomorrow with abs and HIIT.Member of the Global Bodybuilding Organization

Coming up on weeks out...time to change gyms. I have to FOCUS ! ! I am VERY fortunate to be where I am...I have surrounded myself with very good and knowledgeable people who are the REAL DEAL. I'm talking people who are IFBB pros.... PhD in nutrition with 9 years experience in bodybuilding...real personal trainers... But since I have worked out at the same gym at the same time for a very long time... many of the "locals" like to come up and chat. They don't realize that it's not a social hour for a guy in prep mode and I don't want to be rude...so it's best that I just move on to another gym for this final run. Go in...head down and ear phones on.... never look up...watch the clock... get it done !
Very proud of the HIIT training I got in today.... when I was done I laid on the ground for 4 minutes just trying to catch my breath...covered in sweat. And I have to go at that level every time from here on out. I have my plan...I have tested it on my body and it worked 12 weeks and 10 weeks out...so I'm using that.
I have my body waxing scheduled...my final posing lesson scheduled.... my spray tan scheduled. All ducks in a row. Time to WIN this thing.
I will not be stopped. I'm gonna show YOU how great I am !Member of the Global Bodybuilding Organization

I'm getting my lower back waxed where I can't shave... not a lot of hair back there but body hair freaks me out.
Today is a no lift day but I'm going to add some light cardio... slow jog for 30 minutes on the treadmill.
Legs, shoulders, abs and HIIT tomorrow. I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm actually starting to like HIIT. There's just something satisfying about laying on the gym floor covered in sweat and gasping for air.Member of the Global Bodybuilding Organization

Well...I hope I don't disappoint.... abs are coming in more each day. I'm maintaining my size and weight and reducing fat so I feel confident that my macros are right and my level of cardio is good for now.
Week 3 changes things up a bit.... nothing to really freak out about until 10 days out...and 6 days out...and 3 days out. Those are my next BIG bench marks.
I'm actually getting excited...I was nervous but now I'm looking forward to it. I already have my eye on a National Qualifier in October if all goes well at this show.
Sucks that I will miss the gym tomorrow...I'm going into the hospital tomorrow at 6am to get injections in my spine for that stupid bulging disk. I got in 2 sessions of HITT today on my day off to make up for it. I also did stair climbs with calf raises.
I really appreciate the support from you guys.... If you've never competed... you don't really understand how valuable support is during prep.
Wednesday is legs and shoulders...with abs and forearms and HIIT.Member of the Global Bodybuilding Organization

I can TOTALLY relate! I look at my weekly progress pictures and think - "I'm so fat!" .. After some much needed self reflection I realized I saw myself as fat b/c I was comparing myself to others. In particular other competitors. When I adopted the mindset MEvsME, I started to notice the changes I'd been making weekly. I've come a long way! I'm sure you could say the same thing!!
You look great in your pictures! Keep going hard! ... Peak week starts tomorrow for me. My diet will also be changing. Eeeeekkkkk!! I got this! We got this!! I can do ALL things through Christ who gives me strength! He's my rock!Top Secret Nutrition Rep

I think my problem is that I've never been this this before so the slightest fat shows more...if that makes sense. When I weighed 199, I was built like a barrel so I didn't look fat...just thick. Now that I have some abs showing...the ones that haven't appeared yet are driving me crazy being covered by that thin layer of fat.
I will be doing 2-a-days 3 times this week to get in more cardio. I just ate 2 chicken breasts with no seasoning to avoid sodium...got my sodium intake down to below 200 (most of that comes in Franks Hot Sauce)
I added Bikram Yoga to the mix...3 times per week for the next 2 weeks to dry out some more. You are correct Tiffany....we got this !Member of the Global Bodybuilding Organization

It's obvious that Planet America wants you to be fat. Yesterday at the grocery store I saw a huge display of fried pies, ding dongs, hoho's, cupcakes...all the things you should never eat on sale 10 for 10$ ! !
It's cheap and easy to be fat. Meanwhile...I'me paying $2.98 for ONE can of organic garbanzo beans!
