So I've been trying to gain weight, and I'm having a really hard time doing so. I've been working at bulking up a bit so I'm making sure I'm eating plenty of carbs and protein. I try to make sure that I have a surplus of calories every day ( however I don't know how to figure out exactly how many I burn each day because I have a pretty active job lifting things and walking around nonstop) but I can't seem to gain more than 2 lbs from when I ate normally.
Keeping in mind i do try and eat healthy foods, I try to eat often as I can and eat as much as I can in hopes to stretch my stomach a bit so it will be easier for me to consume more calories per day and hopefully gain weight making it easier to produce muscle.
If I am completely misunderstood on my theory, please correct me. If I'm not, what can I do differently to help? Any specific foods? Eat on a different schedule?
I'm asking because I feel like I've tried multiple different things, all with very little weight gain. I'm getting frustrated and am getting close to the point where I want to try different boosters and such to aid in muscle growth even though I'm skeptical about 90% of them. The only thing I've ever used from a nutrition/fitness store so far is protein powders.
Any help would be awesome.

I haven't kept track of exactly how many calories I'm eating, however i believe I'm getting close to 250-300g carb 100g protein a day. ( 5'5" currently weigh 150) that is very well my issue, I feel like I eat a lot, but the more I think about it, I tend to go hours without eating at work which is exactly where I expend a lot of calories every day.

You mentioned trying to stretch your stomach by eating often. I'd think it'd be the other way around. Eating a few huge meals instead of a bunch of tiny meals seems to me like it would be more likely to expand the stomach.
