A 225 bench press impressive (srs)

Only myself and a few others in my gym can bench 225. The misc e-stats, in real life 225 is impressive and rare.

Inb4 my squat is quoted, I've squatted 270 (azz to heels) for reps, just can't update my sig. I know miscers will still think that's pathetic lol, e-stats.

225 for 5 is solid for someone with about 2 years of lifting. But it's not special by any means.

took me about 17 months of strength training to get to where I am now, 275 is my 1rm on bench, I can rep 225 for 8s.

100kg is nothing TBH, if u cant bench 100kg at any weight ur either in the first 3 months of training or your actually not training your just "working out/keeping fit"

in a hardcore serious gym it would be average if not below average.

my bench was always the suckiest, theres always that fear of failing a rep that prevents me to go balls deep. (fear of people thinking im weak, if id be alone i wouldnt care to actually miss a rep, i know dat der rolling technique)

depends what gym you're going to brah - at my university gym I see loads of people bench 225.
When I go back home, the gym is fully of bros and others that don't even lift - not as many benching that much

I think 2 plates is respectable, you have to put in the time to get there.

225 is impressive for a beginner/general population but not among lifters.

just got 225x2 (last Tuesday) after 7 months checking in. Had a little help locking out on the 3rd one so didn't count it. If you cannot do 225 on flat bench after about a year (max) you are doing it wrong. milestone? yes. Rare? hardly for serious lifters.

Use a 5x5 routine and cut slowly, always maintain or even gain strength on my cuts.
