Question Why should you drink milk ?

I'm bulking and it's suggest to drink a class of milk with every meal basically, yeah ok it's got a lot of carbs but every carb is a sugary carb ? So doesn't that mean its going to insulin spike and give me a gut from all the sugar ? Some explain -_-

One cup of 1% milk has ~9g of protein, and ~110kcals. That's why.

If you're finding it hard to get calories in then don't think you should worry about where those calories come from, not that you need to anyway...

Like an above poster said, all carbs are sugars. Milk is great for bulking because you have quite a few cals in a cup and quite a bit of protein. Drinking a cup per meal (depending on how many meals you eat a day) might be a little excessive though.

Me and 90% of other people don't have this problem with having to know how much milk to consume.
Count your calories and macros using something like myfitnesspal, if you are getting too much sugar then you'll know via that.

    - Liquid Calories (Easier for all of the kids crying about not being able to gain weight, can stomach this with meals and get more kcals in)
    - Sugar isn't bad. Insulin spikes happen with nearly everything you eat, and aren't bad either.

I suggest you do some research OP.

Because milk is the drink of the gods.

I drank half a gallon of milk a day just as a snack for 3 months and gained 25 pounds. Not only that, it was also chocolate milk, which has a **** ton of sugar, didn't see any damage to my gains what so ever.

Once you are past the age of suckling from your mothers teet milk not only does not build strong bones but has been known to cause osteoporosis in later life. I'm not saying don't drink milk, it's often the easiest way to get calcium ( bones need calcium derr. )

It's not mandatory or anything, when I make my whey I put water in it and blend with ice or I put milk and peanut butter in it and blend with ice. Both taste good ( peanut butter and water is nasty. )
