no you're fine to workout in the morning without any food if you want. I take a protein shake 30 min. Before so i recomend that.

    No.

Your body has both anabolic and catabolic functions all day. Anabolic - building up, catablolic - breaking down.

That said, how to we ensure our bodies are building muscle or losing fat? Calories (macros etc). So aslong as you're in a caloric surplus at any time throughout the day (you do NOT need a constantly flow of food eg. 6 times a day), you will be fine.

I sometimes train at 5 in the morning before work and dont eat until 3pm.. I still make progress. Sometimes I don't train until 10 at night.. still making progress.

Your body won't be going catabolic from a short fasted state.

It is usually when glycogen in the liver runs out that your body will start using muscle to increase blood glucose.

I wouldn't worry about it unless you are doing 36+ hour of fasting, or lower if you didn't have the appropriate macros before that fasting.

Today I trained with a 15 hour fast.

your fine even without the BCAA's. i used to train at 4 am every day for months and made no difference in training fasted as opposed to nonfasted, although i ate a banana preworkout for some energy.

The food you eat the day before is what is actually fueling your workout the following day. Especially, if you are training early in the morning. Unless you are starving yourself and your glycogen is completly depleted, you are not necessarily catabolic when you wake up. I work out in the morning about an hour after I wake up. I have a protein shake for the hell of it with a little oats to get something in my stomach. My workouts are GREAT!! Testosterone is higher in the morning and you have the rest of the day to do what you want. But warming up is so much more critical when you train early as your body has not had all day to warm up and loosen up your joints.
