Exclamation Zoloft & sex >.. Wtf!!

Quickly explain ... Iv done two tours to Iraq, came home and was told i have axiaty and acute stress disorder. So i was prescribed Loloft.. dont get me wrong i feel a little better and iv only been on it for about a week now. My problem is i dont get my "finaly" any more. I get turned on, stay up, and last, but for 3 nights now iv been going for two maybe more hours at a time with the girl im with and still no finish for me. Is there any natural herbs or should i just quit taking the ****. I'v looked at other forums and no real answers so hopefully i get something worth reading out of here

Increased difficulty achieving orgasm is a well-known side effect of all of the drugs in the class called SSRIs. Some people occasionally find that a different drug in the class may work better for them without the side effects. Zoloft is typically a good choice. You may talk to your doctor about trying Lexapro instead. If that doesn't work, then another antidepressant called Wellbutrin is a good choice. It is a twice a day drug, but it does not have the sexual side effects of the SSRIs.

I'm a doctor but I'm not YOUR doctor, this is not official advice, you should see your physician, etc.

I have severe anxiety and zoloft did the same to me. I was switched to ***** and never had Tue problem again. Talk to the Dr see if there is something else. Benzos are very dangerous though. I have not been off of mine in 6 years and it sucks. My body has become dependant on it but I don't want to take it. I was at one point prescribed 6mg per day but have weind my way down to 1/2 - 1 mg per day.

Dicuss with your doctor for an alternative medication on your anxiety attack. There are many medications available for the mental illness that you are suffering now (Lexapro, ***** etc.).

It might be that Zoloft is unsuitable for you.

I have the mentioned problems with Lexapro and found that when i switched to Zoloft, the problem vanished. I think it works differently for everyone.

Keep in mind that, you are not reliant on this medication for the rest of your life and anxiety attacks can get better after a period of time. The effects of these drugs are not permanent and
it will go away after you stop eating the medication when you recover.

My anxiety attacks stopped after 3 months of taking Zoloft and i do not need the medication at all after 6 months. I am not saying that it will not come back, but i have not experienced any panick attacks for more than 2 years now.

My advise is do not take caffein, energy drinks and high sugar/ carbohydrates food. Take fish oil and zinc to both calm you down and improve the "orgasm feeling" and have regular exercises.

However, do not over exert as well, as over training can be a potential trigger for panick attacks. Just exercise enough to release some adrenalin to make you feel better.

I had that same problem, very common with SSRI's. I went down a dosage after a bit and the problem disappeared. It still beat the panic attacks.
Just give me all the bacon and eggs you have. Wait, wait. I'm worried what you just heard was, "Give me a lot of bacon and eggs." What I said was, "Give me all the bacon and eggs you have"

From experience, absolutely see your doc ASAP about possibly switching to a different medication

I'm a veteran as well, here are the cliffs of my experience:

Zoloft: Ruined my life, sex drive, and completely changed my personality

Celexa: Insanely strong happy pills... scary strong..

Wellbutrin: Very effective, would recommend to someone / athletes that is GENUINELY depressed (I originally was NOT !!!)

******: Mother of god, it's awesome... came CLOSE to addiction, VERY easy to see how it could be addicting

Propranolol: For the love of all that is holy... avoid this **** if you're an athlete / if at all possible... VERY over-prescribed and abused med...

Hi, i hope you don't mind me asking but i am curious as to what medications you have finally chosen after experimenting with the above.

Are you still suffering from panick attacks now or have you already recovered?
