Background Story:
Sophomore year:
Invited to a punting camp at a Mid-Major School.
Recorded 4.06 average punt for the camp, high of 4.68.
I had GREAT control over direction. If I wanted to put it from right hash onto the out of bounds, I could do that.
DIRECTION was my strength.
Averaged 39 yards a punt.
Going into Junior Year:
Concussion that was left untreated, had to quit football (TIGHT END).
At the time, decided to not ask about just punting, and play basketball.
College:
Went to a SEC school, didn't cut it for me, came back to JuCo Basketball.
While at the SEC school, I would punt on the fields and kids would want to shag for me/ would draw small crowds and everyone thought I punted at the school (no brag straight facts).
Now:
College basketball is not working for me.
I LIVE for competition, but am really into the me vs. me sports. (lifting is my passion).
Regardless...
I have punted on and off for the last few months, and have hit an all time low mentally (am VERY OPTIMISTIC).
Went to the field the other day,
Consistency was not there but...
Had my friend time me and I was a high of 4.5 and averaged around 3.9-4.1 and across the field I was putting punts to the bleachers.
I HAVE LOST A LOT OF FLEXIBILITY.
From what I have stated,
IF I work on it,
Do you think I could punt in college?
What Level?
I will post a youtube video soon.
Should I send them to schools?

How long have you been in college? Doesnt sound like you have much eligibility left.
And there isn't a single person on here that could tell you if you could make it on a team as a punter. That can only be determined by you going out and doing it and seeing for yourself. If you think you are good enough and have the numbers to impress the coaches and be an asset to a team, then I would say go for it. But like I said, It doesnt sound like you have any eligibility left. How long have you been in college?

hate to say it man but once your clock starts for division 1 it doesnt stop until it runs out. now you CAN go to div 2 or 3 and probably still get that eligibility back. naia most certainly. but d1 you're times ticking.
heres the thing with kickers...theyre a dime a dozen. its the sad reality. i gotta say with your stats have you considered rugby? you might be a terror on the pitch with those numbers and kicking ability.
big thing is just email and talk to as MANY COACHES AS POSSIBLE and get used to rejection. but you never know you might get lucky.
last thing is try here - berecruited.com
and above all else- good luckACE-PT, NSCA, USATF-1
danprater.blogspot.com - blog for everything related to throws, rugby, training, etc. and stuff that isnt.
