Talking Is it realistic that I could join the football team next year?

So I, currently doing the stronglifts program, and after the 3 months of the program, I'm wanting to do a 1 month cut, and after that I would like to start the program over again. At this rate, would I be able to join my schools football team and actually be good and possibly not get hurt (or not get hurt to bad)? I've always wanted to play football, but I've always been to scrawny and weak for it.

Anyone can play football, but it's good to learn young. Your obviously not young :P so I mean if your athletic you will automatically be good. Just work on bulking and getting big. Even if your scrawny and stuff doesnt mean you cant pack and punch!

144lbs and wants to cut...dont know how big the guys in your conference are but you better be fast as hell at that size.

already been said anybody can play. doesnt mean youll be good or even see the field on game day but anybody can try out. just dont play scared or you will get hurt regardless of how big or small.
