I haven't watched anime in a while (I take that back, I tried watching Berserk but ...) some of my older favorites:
FMA (Original & Brotherhood)
Champloo (Love this one)
Death Note
Hellsing (OVA Ultimate is awesome)
Code Geass (When this came together, I really liked it a lot.)
Darker Than Black
Black Lagoon
Bleach/Naruto (Read the manga, but once it went to **** I stopped both)
Claymore (Manga is good too, the anime was short and sweet.)
Movies:
Princess Mononoke
Howl's Moving Castle
Spirited Away
Love all those.
Been a few years though.Last edited by phal; 04-21-2012 at 05:25 AM.

Mostly sticking to the Block-busters. Bleach, Naruto, One-Piece.
I know there are some bloody awesome short anime's, but I like to watch the behemoth runners. Just started One-Piece all over again. Brb, 550 episodes to watch.Owner of:

I don't watch anime like I used to when I was a kid, but favorite series are Trigun, Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo (a bunch of others but those three are tops). Movies are a bunch of Studio Ghibli movies, Ghost in a Shell, Ninja Scroll, and Samurai X. I mostly just read everything else in Manga form now. I'd like to watch some Beserk tho, since they started up the anime again.

DBZ was definitely my favourite, never thought I'd get into another anime series like that until naruto shippuden.
Battle of the planets was my first ever anime type series but obv nothing compared to what's around now.
Also one piece (not a massive fan, more because it was on before DBZ of an afternoon from memory), inuyasha, initial d, neon genesis evangelion.
Two others that blew my mind in the last few years were Robotech the Shadow Chronicles and Gundam 00.
Will get around to Bleach when I get the time, I've heard a lot of good things about it.You'll have to speak up, I'm wearing a towel.

Everyone has mentioned most of my favorites.
But I can't believe no one mentioned the Gundam series, namely Gundam Wing. Probably one of the best amines ever for me.
Also, I am a diehard Afro Samurai fan. You gotta love that North American anime.“Go back?" he thought. "No good at all! Go sideways? Impossible! Go forward? Only thing to do! On we go!" So up he got, and trotted along with his little sword held in front of him and one hand feeling the wall, and his heart all of a patter and a pitter.”

For those of you who haven't seen Gundam Wing, here is every episode on Youtube:

Wing Gundam ZERO is awesome:
Also, what's more awesome than a samurai wearing a teddy bear helmet?

Has been a long time since I watched anything, but favorites were Elfed Lied, FMA, Code Geass, Ghost in the Shell, Samurai Champloo, Samurai 7, Darker than Black, Black Lagoon, Claymore, Death Note, Shippuuden, and Bleach. I'm sure I missed a few that I liked, but that is most of the ones I'd reccomend.

Just finished rewatching all of DBZ last night, awesomesauce except not how I remember it from my childhood. Felt alot like a chore rewatching them all due to all the standing about talking **** for episodes on end.

Got all excited about an old DBZ Kai ep I flicked by only to cringe at the English OT and dialogue, had to play original dub to put my mind at ease:
