Oh god, I feel sorry for you. The main gym in the SAC is ok, but becomes a freakin' zoo from like 2-9. I cannot stress how packed it gets in there, limited equipment and you will spend more time waiting for a bench, set of dbs, rack, and so forth more than you actually lift. Hope you like smith machines, because if I remember correctly there's only one freeweight rack in the main gym, the rest are smiths. In the quad gyms (if you're living there, each quad has their own tiny ass gym), there's only smith machines (single one in each quad gym). The quad ones aren't bad though if you're doing something like shoulders, where its mainly db related stuff. But, they're all small as absolute ****.

If you're living there, find cool kids and hang out with them asap, or otherwise you'll be foreveraloning it every night. Social life wise, you get into a click of about a dozen people and yall chill all the time, and the big adventure will be going from wherever you live to the far side of campus for food (there's like eight different places to eat, and its always the ones you aren't near that you're craving), or drinking in the room. I could go on, but that was probably more than you wanted to know. If you want to know anything specific about SBU just ask.

oh, I'm notgoing to live there. my parents live on long island so i'm just going to stay there because they are lax about most sh*t. mostly just wondered how many miscers go there that lift.

Well, I"m from the US, and unfortunately I didn't apply to better schools, got into every one. SUNY Binghamton, Umass Amherst (Honors college and 8500 a year), UVM (11k a year, saw another guy in here), Tulane (22k a year), University of Rochester, University of Miami and some others

Might go to Tulane cuz I got a hefty scholly.

Iowa is a pretty big and well recognized school, whats ur degree? If they paying for most of it then take it! If you aren't doing graduate work it doesnt what school your ish is from as long as its vaguely popular.

Yeah, I would have my doubts about going to an AAU school with top ranked graduate programs as well.

My reasoning behind that is its 86% acceptance rate and their amazingly easy application process (No essay required or anything. Just personal info and basic stuff)

Honestly, finding gym rat friends isn't as fun as it sounds. Everyone in there is awkward as **** and will mumble or bert stare you if you approach them they'll mumble like foreveralones
