    Goodbye keto! Before/after pica

I've now reached my goals thanks to ckd! Lost 16lbs in 8 weeks, lost 4% bf and actually increased the big lifts on a calorie defecit! (20lbs bench, 15lbs squat and 35lb dead lifts)!-probably down to the fact that my training changed from isolation to pretty much pire compound moves for muscle retention!
Im now going to leangains lean bulk and probably return to keto in the future when its time to cut!
    Bye for now fellow ketoers!
    Keep at it!

I took up running last year but had to pack it in due to injury.
As far as cardio during keto the only cardio i did was 10mins jogg as a warmup and i walk my dog most days for around an hour- but he's just left to run around, i do very little walking myself, maybe a mile! I work a physical job and am on my feet all day wearing heavy ppe and clothing so i didnt want to overdue the cardio!

Total weight loss is approaching 35lbs. My meals where around 3-400kcal a piece 6x a day. A typical meal was chicken, mayo, oil salad but i started to implement intermittent fasting so i could eat big rather than eat smaller meals. My fav is deffo salmon wrapped in palma ham, roasted in garlic and served on a 4-egg omletee loaded with bacon cheese mayo with loadsa veggies! About 850 -950 kcal, 60 pro, 45 fat and like 6 carbs!

I'm impressed man.I like how you ran it for just 8 weeks. There has been some studies suggestions long durations of ketogenic dieting causes some insulin resistance.

Did you follow Dave Palumbo's generic keto plan.Carb up after 2 weeks then every week from then on.

Everything I've read, and my own experience having been diagnosed Type 2 diabetic, is that keto improves insulin sensitivity. It's the constant blood sugar rollercoaster of high carb diets that cause resistance. I'd be curious to see a study that suggests the opposite if you've got a link.

yuh dun good kid, yuh dun goo.
You are not a fragile ornament ready to collapse into an exhausted mass of goo simply because you squatted more than once in a 7-day week.

It'd be like preparing your entire life to bang 100 chicks in a row, getting tan, hitting the gym, making sure your hair looks right and reading the Kama Sutra, only to realize when you get there that you're gay and cannot get hard in the presence of women.

I did a carb up for 36hrs every 2 weeks because i found that i made the most gains in the 2 2nd week. However, i later put this down to the fact that i went ott in my carbups so switched to a 12hour post fast carbup ever week so i could do less damage! Haha. Lost about 20% more doing it that way!

I would also like a link to these studies. Considering some people are on keto for years with little reprocussions, I would imagine that they would like to know as well
