A preworkout isn't necessary but it definitely can help with your workout. I've only tried c4 once and didn't really care for it, though a lot of people like it. The best preworkouts I've tried in my experience are White flood and SAN Fierce.

Thanks, brother. At least 15 recent reviews out there, and not a single one considered it a waste.
Because caffeine has all the effects of creatine, nitrates, l-aspartic acid, beta alanine, tyrosine, glucoronolactone, ornithine, etc? He didn't say he was looking for a stimulant.~ Roast Master, Resident Coffee Warlock~

So many things can affect your pre-workout choice. Do you react well to the ingredient profile? How far do you dose it away from a meal (the emptier you stomach the more it hits). and how long have you been on stims and last time you cycled off? Take a look @ Scivation Novem it has 9 major ingredients (hence the name Novem which is latin for 9) and has had incredible reviews and over a dozen logs ran on the product (which can be searched for) . Almost every individual even other company reps ranked it near the top as far as pumps, energy, and focus goes. People mainly chimed in on how easy it mixed, how good it tasted, and how they had energy flowing after their workout through their Post-Workout meal. Should be a sale coming up in the bb.com store soon so keep that eye out! It has been on wheycheap as low as 15$ per 40 servings.

Pre-Workouts are great. If you really want to get a pump on and keep focused longer than usual, I'd recommend taking one. It's always a good idea to cycle on and off so as not build up too much of a tolerance to stims. I've tried Jack3d, N.O.Xplode, Assault, SuperPump 250 and 1.M.R. They all do a good job of keeping your energy levels up through your workout.
