Alright, probably a slightly stupid question but I've actually received mixed responses to this.
Suppose you go on the scale and it reads 200lbs, you quickly eat 3500 calories of food, if you were to step back on that scale, would it read "201 lbs"? Or does it have to "convert" to fat first...and if it does, how long does that process take? In other words, how long until it reads 201 lbs?

Well I'm trying to see how long before it registers on the scale.
For example, idiot, if you drink a gallon of water it will also "add weight to you", though it wouldn't register as 2/3/4lbs (you'll see an increase on the scale, but it wouldn't be 'accurate', it's just water weight), etc.
ya see? reasonable question d00d

School isn't something "binary" that is finished or not finished. There are different grades and levels. For example, there is high school, college and graduate school.
Anyway, it seems like you need to learn what a scale measures, which is weight. You weigh something. So do other things, like food. If you weigh, for example, 150 pounds and you ingest 2 pounds of food, your weight will immediately increase by 2 pounds. To figure out what you now weight, add 2 pounds to 150 pounds. The result is 152 pounds.
Ok, we've been trolled. This guy is obviously just joking around.

You just repeated exactly what I told you.... Everything has weight. Think of it this way: If you put a dumbbell in your mouth and then stepped on the scale, how long would it take to register?
Answer: The amount of time it takes you to step on the scale and for the number to flash“If you can find a path with no obstacles, it probably doesn't lead anywhere.” Frank A. Clark

Uh... no. There are so many variables that it is completely impossible to give a correct answer. For instance, the age, weight, height, BF%, sex, metabolism, weight of food, chemical makeup of the food, macro breakdown of the food, whether or not the person is on gear, whether or not the person is diabetic, whether or not the person has erectile dysfunction, whether or not the person has a yeast infection, whether or not the person is a midget, whether or not the person has pooped their pants in the last five years, how many children the person has, where they live, what they do for a living, whether or not they watch "The Bachelorette", etc.
A stupid question only warrants a stupid answer. You're welcome!2/14/11: 236 lbs.
2/21/11: 233 lbs.
3/1/11: 229 lbs.
3/11/11: 224 lbs.
3/18/11: 222 lbs.
3/26/11: 219 lbs.

i'm trying to save the OP here, i think he is asking how long it will take a period of binge eating to show up on the scale. Like if you eat 10,000 cals a day over the weekend, how long will it take for the 10,000 cals to be converted to fat and when will the subsequent fat gain show on the scale? its not a bad question if he meant it like that
