We all start out as gym idiots

I thought id make a thread that looks at the program everyone did the day they started in the gym just to let them laugh at themselves a bit ill go first.

my original gym idiot workout hot every muscle 7 days a week

    flat DB press 4 sets
    DB curls 4 sets
    skull crushers 4 sets
    shoulder press 4 sets
    lat pull down 4 sets
    leg press 4 sets
    cable crossover 4 sets
    cable curl 4 sets
    leg press 4 sets

also through in a 20 min ab workout and 30 min of cardio every second day i was defiantly a gym idiot back than but Ive change my ways now.

This. First day ever lifting I did SS, then quickly moved to a split.

Before I was lifting though, I did pushups, pull ups, and situps daily, and I'd run 5 miles at a time.

Started with a regular bodybuilding split from Arnold's encyclopedia back a little before August. It was fun, but b1g thankfully steered bitter away from that.

My first day consisted of doing 20 mins of cardio to warm up, 21's because my friend had just learnt that exersise, and a few db chest presses.

    My first routine:

    Monday - Arms
    Tuesday - Chest
    Wednesday - Shoulders
    Thursday - Back
    Friday - Legs
    Saturday - Rest
    Sunday - Arms
    Monday - Chest

    And so on.

I switched to a push/pull to get stronger for a bit. I'll be switching back to a split when I add 150lbs total to my b/s/d. Then I'll stay on the split until I get as big as I can, and that should hopefully do it.

Never had a routine to start with, did like 5 machines over and over again for a month or so, then added bicep curls haha. Went to a shtty gym, was more of a fitness suite (ie, 6 machines, DBs up to 20kg, one bench and a few treadmills) so never really learned from anyone else's routine.

Then did some reading online and did some split, saw good gains for a bit then they slowed down. Still missed out a couple of bodyparts completely.

Then joined a good gym and started doing a really good split.

Yep, fo sho I was a right gym idiot. Wasn't that bad for the environment I was in tho.
