How many sets per bodybpart to avoid overtraining?

Hello as my title says id liek to know an estimate of how many amount of sets should i do to have a proper intense training but without overtraining myself?
Iknow small muscle like biceps and triceps should not be trained with as much sets as back or legs, but what exactly are these number? if posssible tell em per body par like saying example:
    1)biceps 8-12 sets
    2)back 12-15 sets
etc.. (note these are just examples)
Having in concideration Im an ectomorph but i do have experience on workout but i had to quit pumping irons for about 3-4 months so i just began back 2 days ago.

I'd say more than that for chest, back, tris and shoulders.

Completely and totally an individual thing- depends on your experience, your workout split, workout frequency. Ability to add volume will also increase as you work out more.

    Individual thing.

    Depends on your goals.

Depends on the level of strength, ie novice(could be after ten years pissing around in the gym) doesn't need a huge number of warmup sets because they are novice strength.

Depends on how you divide and prioritize your basic exercises(squat, dead, press, row, bench, curl) and your assistance work(laterals, tri extensions, forward raises, ab pulldowns etc).
    Beginners:

Beyond novice, 5 3 1 or see above:)

Unless it is obvious to anyone who isn't blind that you lift weights, you might still benefit from a little more attention to big basic barbell exercises for enough reps:).

Each person is different w/ their goals in mind. What is your current goals? The very first thing that sticks out is you said "proper intense training." The very first thing that came to my mind when reading this was failure.
