Progress report came, did pretty bad compared to what I usually get. I do most of my homework, listen in class, and study the day before tests. I've literally been trying my hardest in math, but I can't seem to get the grade up. I'm in advanced classes n ****, but I've always gotten better grades than 70s.

Thanks guys. I'm going to work my ass off when school starts again, but I honestly don't know if I can raise my math grade up even with all of this stuff. Thanks for all the advice.

This. Also, get together with a few friends or people who are good at the subjects you may be finding hard and study / make notes together a few days before tests and exams. This usually helps but make sure that the people you are studying with don't get sidetracked and lose focus. If they do, get them back on track or just leave and try to find others to work with.
Hope this helps.<<:::>> Founder, CMO, Researcher, & Writer at Spartan Supps. <<:::>>

make study guides out of your class notes.. even if you dont actually study the guide, the act of writing the information helps you store it in your long term memory. also, write in different colors. this helps when recalling information during an exam.
works for me

If you listen in class and still do bad on tests then your probably like me. I used to listen in class all the time, right down all the notes, do my homework, etc. But I found I kept doing ****ty in math still. I started learning the math on my own rather than going at the teachers pace. I went into the text book and did the lessons myself and if I got to a point where i didnt understand it I could just wait then listen for my teacher to catch up to the point i got to. Now since I stopped following along with the teacher and started learning the lessons on my own my grade went from 40%-72.5%.

Study whatever you did in school when you get home. That'll keep it in your head. Then study at the weekend for a couple of hours each day. It helps with learning stuff you need to catch up on.
Try khanacademy.org for help with math. I'm not sure what stuff you learn in math in whatever country you're from but it might be on that website and it's pretty helpful.
