Title says it all. For the longest I've been leaning towards the 370z but I now am frequently hearing that performance wise the Challenger and 370z are neck in neck other than a few select things.
Which is faster?
More "modability" (some cars don't react well to aftermarket parts)
Overall better?
Make sure to back your opinions amply
Thanks in advance

you're comparing a muscle with a tuner?

Well the Challenger SRT8 starts out at what like $43,000. No thanks I think I'll definitely pass.
So you are looking at like 50-65K for this car once you get it off the lot not even including special features you may add.

i'd get the 370, straight line accelleration should be slower than a SRT challenger if thats what you're comparing, but the 370 is a all around better sports car, while the challenger is pretty unimpressive handling wise

Btw for so many of you saying the SRT8 would do away with the 370z, could you explain to me why you think that? Just lay down the facts so I can understand lol.

Put some springs on it and it'll handle ten times better, I doubt the Z handles THAT much better anyway. Not to mention put a kennebell supercharger on it or TT, ohai 600hp
EDIT** : One aspect that the Z is much, much better than the SRT has to be gas mileage. In my jeep my best I've EVER gotten was 11.6. You've been warned lolYessir.

lulz a *******s in this thread trying to justify the challenger...the 370z beats the challenger in all areas
dont get me wrong, i love the challenger and plan on getting one some day, but as an all around sports car, the 370z just beats it

New Challenger is getting a 6.4L hemi, rating ~only~ at 475hp. This has been confirmed by chrysler i believe.
FUUU. Should be way more. New mustang 5.0 would still blow the challenger out of the water i bet.
But Challenger >>> 370.
Modwise, u got a huge engine to play with. Slap on supercharger or turbocharger.

370.
If you want an American muscle/sports car why choose the worst of the Big 3?

370 will be funner if you're into handling and tight turns and ****.
challenger with a v8 will be a more comfortable cruising car with power.
think of it like this.
Bentley continental GT or SS vs a ferrari f430.
ones built for speed and handling to simulate a racecar, ones built to be fast and decent handling but is heavy, but a really great "cruiser"
Id get a challenger personally, for the character and cruise factor. I own a stang GT now though so im a big biased.
with that said, 370s interiors are awesome. everythings nice to the touch. Ive been in one.Snatch: 122

I'd go with the 370. Challenger is definitely not a handler. I also don't think springs are going to get it to 370z levels either.
It all depends on what you want OP. Straight line performance or decent straight line with better cornering.
