KING KUANG SMASH!!! Rampage to the stage 2012
Show number 15!
14 weeks out.
It’s been a long 5 year journey.
My name is Kuang, I am 26 years old. I am a personal trainer and am currently being interviewed for Doctorate of Physical Therapy programs. I am self taught in all things bodybuilding. Most of what I do is scientifically researched and then through trial and error I apply it to myself.
I also do diets and contest preps through my bodybuilding team: TEAM PANDA XPRESS.
Here are some pictures through the years.

I started competing in 2007 at the age of 21. My first show was the NGA Natural Northeast in Rochester, NY.
I did my first INBF show in October 2009. I won the Novice Lightweight class at the Northern States Supernatural in Buffalo, New York http://www.northernstatessupernatura..._web_pics.html
A week later I won the Junior Overall title at the INBF Natural USA in Rochester NY. I also placed 3rd in the Middleweights.
I competed in my first OCB show in May of 2011. It was the OCB Tri-Cities held in West Nyack, NY. I placed 2nd out of 9 competitors in the open lightweight division.
With the addition of the mass round to the INBF in 2010, I think I no longer have a place in the organization. I have decided to stick with the OCB for this season.Team Panda XPRESS

Man, you have done A LOT of contests!!! You started a year before me, but we first met on stage at the Olympus 2008. Good times! I will say the most noteable thing about your physique is the improvements to your lower body. Your legs look like they have really matured over the years. That is tough to do when you compete as much as you have. Nice work. So, good luck this season....ill be stopping in to support.

My quads grew the moment I stepped into a squat rack. Glutes came in last season. But my hamstrings and calves were always suspiciously missing. So this offseason has been devoted to my posterior chain.
Upper body is coming along. Addressed some shoulder impingement issues in the last 4 months with corrective exercises and now I expect my bench press to increase between 30-40% in the next 2 months. That should give my upper body a thickness boost right when I need it for show timeTeam Panda XPRESS

Week 1
13 weeks and 2 days out from May 12 OCB Tri-Cities
Starting out at about 188 lbs. Most bloated I've been in about a year. Pictures are from about 2 weeks ago.
Still maintaining about a 30" waist. I think most of the bloat is from the drinking I did that week.
My training split is 4-5 lifting days and 1 dedicated cardio day. Cardio will be mixed in day to day until 12 weeks when it will be a regular thing.
I take a very organic approach to my bodybuilding. It's a feeling process with small adjustments every few weeks. Every year my body changes a little bit and responds a little bit differently.
Last year I tried for a more balanced look instead of the ultra dry shredded look that I normally go for. I got stuck somewhere in the middle between full and dry. Not where I wanted to be. So upon reevaluation, I will just go for the full look. The criticism has always been that I am not "big" enough. So I will try to maximize my small joints by keeping the muscle bellies as full as I can during my prep and hopefully I can create the illusion of being big.
Right now I do a Upper body push day, Pull day, Lower body, and a arms/abs day.
Cardio is done as circuits and complexes (kettlebells, prowlers, resisted sprints, MMA style stuff). No steady state stuff right now.
My macros are 2680 calories on weight training days and 2570 calories on off days. Carbs 43%/ Prot 37%/ Fat 25%.
70g of my 282 carbs for the day comes from a post workout shake containing GENR8 Vitargo S2.
Monday 2/6/12
PULL:
Weighted Neutral Grip Dead hang Pullups
BW + 35lbs: 9, 7, 7
One arm Nautilus Compound Row
Straight sets 110lbs: 10 reps, 5 sets
Supinated Wide Grip Lat Pull Down
Didn't count reps - just played around with the weight so it was hard to do between 10-12 reps, 5 sets.
Pronated overhand close grip seated cable row with full stretch
The stack: 8 reps, 3 sets
Dumbell hamstring Curl
35lb 12 reps, 4 sets
It's Thursday night and my lats are still sore.Team Panda XPRESS

Reality
A
Face reality as it is, not as it was or as you wish it to be.
Jack Welch
B
Whatever you believe with feeling becomes your reality.
Brian Tracy
What we achieve inwardly will change outer reality.
Plutarch
Would you rather choose A or B?
I believe in B. I am a dreamer. I believe our actions align with our thoughts and desires. If we change our thoughts, our actions and behaviors will become congruent with our inner reality. Creating a new outer reality.
Time to change my current reality....
It's been a rough past week. Not a lot of good news. PT school acceptances are not going as planned, work is slow, my diet has been off, and I have been floating in a sea of my own negativity.
I retreated into my mind on Sunday to fight some inner battles. I emerged feeling realigned and refocused, ready to meet my new goals.
In the coming weeks I will focus only on what I can control, do what it takes to get the desired result, and then let the chips fall as they may. Today I bought a new lunch box. It's bright blue
Time to get back on the wagon!
Back Training Today - 2/13/12
I took my post workout, pre workout. No beta alanine buzz...
I realized something was wrong 20min into my workout.
Wide Grip Chins
One arm DB rows
V-grip Lat Pulldown
Close Grip Overhand Cable Rows
DB weighted Hyperextensions
Reverse Flyes
Farmer's Walk
Workout felt good. No real ill effects from the punishment I laid on my body this weekend (lots of whiskey).

Up hill climb
I've found that the journey to the stage involves as much a transformation of the mind as it does the body. At the midway point of dieting it's amazing to realize that every action has a purpose and a consequence. It makes time feel so much more valuable.
Diet has been clean this week. Been real good about hitting my Macros.
Regular Cardio gets introduced next week @ 20 min 5x week.
