I previously have been working out to lose weight to get into the army, after being rejected for a benign heart condition, I've decided train for the octagon. I've been sparring to improve my jiu jitsu technique (still planning on taking classes to be legit, no flaming please) and working on my speed. I do need to lighten up though and have had great success with keto. I am 188lbs after a short 1 month bulk to get my strength back after army training. (low weight high reps in order to avoid any possibility of injury before basic). My goal is 165lbs. I am going to post my diet which comes out to roughly 1900 calories, 176 grams of protein, and 113 grams of fat. I know the macros are off a little, I am more concerned with going into ketosis and calorie defecit than adding more protein and fat and upping the cal count. I will try this for a month and see what happens. I will keep updated progress pics and log my weight of course. I'm assuming tweaks will be made here and there.
3 whole eggs
3 strips bacon
100g almonds
chicken ranch salad
2 scoops cytosport 100% whey
pork rinds
4oz round steak
1 flowret broccoli
Here goes and thanks for reading guys. Hopefully this time next year I will be fight ready.
