No time for anything else. Had a physics final at 10:15 lol.
Squats felt AWFUL today, most likely from heavy deads last Saturday. Benching felt AMAZING though. Form is getting dialed in and I am moving the weight with authority.
Body is feeling really beat up though since I have not let off the brakes at all since the meet, so I am just going to deadlift on either Thursday or Friday and do nothing else til Monday most likely. My joints are getting really achy again and my right shoulder girdle is REALLY bothering me.
I have been playing with a narrower stance/grip for all weights through 405/275. I kinda like it. Makes my wider stance/grip feel easier once I hit my heavy sets with 455/315.

It's stressful. Make sure you know your true 1RM and not a higher, estimated one, and be don't get greedy with how high you set your desired max. I should have done it with 585 instead of 605.
Don't know if I'll even attempt it til my meet in February but sure!
Lol yeah I was pumped.
Yep. I feel so strong with it and I know there are still things I can work on with technique.

Super quick, just wanted to get some pushing and pulling today.
I've realized two things recently:
1. I need more pure upper body pressing work, especially since my bench set-up is getting more sophisticated with my ROM decreasing and getting better leg drive.
2. I need more volume with all 3 main lifts.
Nothing will be changing drastically, but I'd like to add in a few more sets and figure out where to put some more pressing movements without detracting from my bench sessions too much.

One of the only times I made any considerable noise in 3 years and they scold me. And considering how many times I actually do a ME deadlift I find that a bit absurd. People fukking drop dumbbells (less than 100 lbs) and grunt all the time. But God forbid I make a little noise when putting 585 down.
It's a CAMPUS REC CENTER FOR CHRIST'S SAKE.
It will happen. Just gotta stay consistent.

Hopefully. My next meet has super stiff competition. I am starting to get some numbers in my head and I am thinking a 562-374-606+ is what winning is gonna take. It will come down to 3rd attempt deadlifts most likely.
The 562 squat is what scares me the most, but with how my training has been going I don't see it as unreasonable.

Yeah 562-374-606 lbs is 255-170-275 in kg.
A bit optimistic, but training has been going amazing thus far and I am progressing nicely. I think I've only missed 3-4 lifts this cycle, 3 of those being on bench and 1 deadlift.
Haven't missed a training squat in over 4 months? Something like that. I'm gonna check out my log sometime in the near future and find out.
