I heard you have to sign a contract... can you sign a half year contract? because a full year seems like a pretty big commitment.

Haha, I have a feeling I'd be larger than most guys there (not that I'm especially large). Probably a cool feeling.

I have an education degree and an arts degree... so I assume I'm good to go in that regard.


Would most cities have gyms/supplements/decent food?... I'd off myself if I had to live without either.

I have a few friends who have done this in Korea and China, they all loved it and made great money. I would say if you have nothing tying you down here, do it for the experience alone.

Save all words containing "L"s for the end of the class.

You'll want to build up their confidence before then.

That is how a lot of these programs work, so that the ones learning have to adapt as if they were put into a foreign country and needed to learn, but in a classroom setting.

At a lot of colleges when they teach languages they refuse to speak english/write english at any point in the course. I knew people who did this and they say they PREFER applicants to not be familiar/fluent with the language of those they are teaching.

it is very hard to get a position if they know you are black. There is stigma and fear associated with black folks. (I can only speak about S. Korea though)
