Straps are for all sets when your grip/forearms are a limiting factor assuming you are actually trying to target your back.
Should i wait till "i've been working on my grip and it's strong enough" to do rows again?Or should i row with low weight that doesn't really do much for me?Or should i drop the rows, maybe they are not important?
OP,grip work can be done at other times, use the help you can get to grow your back.bb.com, a place that turned Deadlift into a forearm isolation exercise
and a place where 99% of 21 year olds have bad back and knees.

You need to build your supporting grip's endurance and strength. My favorite exercise for supporting grip is the Farmer's Walk.
Grab a pair of the heaviest dumbbells that you can carry. Tighten your core. Keep arms flared out, so that the dumbbells do not touch your legs. Start walking until your grip is about to fail.
You want to do timed sets that last longer than your barbell row sets. If your grip is failing on rows after 30 seconds, then do the farmer's walk until you get 1 minute. If your grip is failing after 1 minute, then do 1.5 minutes. Do 3-4 sets 2-3 times a week.
It's a compound exercise for forearms. Your abs, lower back, delts, and traps will get worked also.

NO! there's no sense in neglecting your lats, who knows how long it will take to get your grip strong enough to catch up with your lats. you SHOULD train your grip, but not at the expense of your back. do what you need to in order to be able to train your lats as hard as you can, even if it means using straps. never let your grip prevent you from lifting heavier weight or doing more reps! ive never been more sure of anything bodybuilding related.

Come on guys you have to realise your grip will fail long time before you burn your lats! Straps and Hooks are awesome. I have a strong grip but I always do pullups, pulldowns, Barbell rows, ect with hooks.

^from my gym experience, most people row OH. They also do front raises OH too. I always advocate the natural anatomical movements..it just makes sense. I know Layne Norton advocates BB rows with the OH grip and uses no straps, rather, he uses some grip, I forget the name, but you more or less bite down on your thumb.
meanwhile, Kai Greene takes a very non traditional approach with his exercises schema and always follows the anatomically correct ROM.
one is a IFBB pornstar, the other a natural doctoral student, so IDK anymoreEat Clean Snatch & Jerk
