    Blake's NO-BETA NO-BS NO-NONSENSE LOG

Anyone who knows me is aware that I am a tell it like it is kinda guy.

Thanks to the fine folks at Double T, I have the opportunity to run a sponsored log.

I will give my honest impressions, log my current linear program progress, and give my subject experience with the product.

Got the package and had previously reviewed some of the logs for dosage consideration. 180 tabs, 30 day log, the math was done for me, 6 tabs a day. I train first thing in the morning so I decided to leave them by my bed and hit 6 tabs right after I hit the snooze , that would give a good 30 minutes before I hit my work sets.

I am currently running a 6 day split Mon legs, Tues Chest, Wed Back, Thur Shoulders/Traps, Friday Arms, Sat Abs. 4 primary exercises with 4 sets of 4-8 reps. All sets are done to positive failure so rest times are what ever it takes until I can give another all out set, some days and exercises that may be 1 minute other days and exercises, 5 minutes or more. Everything is slow and controlled full reps it is not about the weight anymore it is about the contraction.

I am not concerned about getting huge, I have tried that previously and my genetics limit my to the 147 class if I were to ever compete. I am concerned about symmetry, aesthetics, hardness, separation, and shape.

    Here goes:

    Tuesday: Chest

Flat Bench - 68x12, 118x10, 158x7, 6, 6, 6 nice start, it was all I had last week to get the 6th rep in the 1st and 4th set and had some neck strain. This week I was able to hit an extra rep and get through the 4th sets 6th rep with more confidence.

Incline Bench - 118x7x4 this was another nice improvement from 7, 7, 6, 6 last week. It seemed like I could tell that my lasts sets had some extra reserve in them.

    Incline Fly 38x8x4
    Superseted with
Incline Press 38x8, 8, 5, 2 then straight sets of 10 and 8 very nice to get the two 8 by 8s last week only got one 8 by 8

    Flat Fly 43x6x4
    Superseted with
Flat Press 43x1, 0, 0, 0, straight sets 7, 6, 6, 7 my chest was fried at this point and after the pre-exhaust flys only got 1 rep on the first super, I attempted reps after every pre-exhaust set but could never get the rep to the top on the last 3 sets

I am quite supplement resistant and did not feel any strong rushes or sensations but did feel quite a bit of extra reserve energy on my sets as I was able to work deeper with less exhaustion. The pump was very nice with good fullness even though I was not working in a typical pump rep or set protocol.

Here is a pic of my chest after day one, I like what I see, nice hardness and shape with good blood volume, so far I have a positive impression:

I don't obsess that much on diet anymore. I try to keep a lot of variety with protein sources at most feedings, carbs early, switching to fats later and dairy fats towards bed. I try to stay approximately 100 cals over maintenance. 6 NO-BETA at 5am, Protein and carbs before training at 5:15am with caffeine, protein and carbs after training about 7am, 8:30 breakfast, 10 snack 12 lunch 2 snack, 4 snack, 6 supper, 7:30 snack, protein and milk at 9pm for bed. Wait did I say I try not to obsess on my diet

    Hey Blake,

A step backwards is better than a setback.

If this (insert whatever trivial thing that is upsetting me) is the worst thing to happen today, I'm going to have a great day.

    Here it is!

    Wednesday - Back

Woke up 5 minutes before the alarm at 4:55a. Sat up and choked down my 6 pills. Gotta pay attention why you are throwing back six to make sure you get enough water!!!! I swear I think one got stuck until I was able to flush it

Waited for the alarm. Ran down and started my coffee, took care of business. Then pounded my protein, powdered milk, and carbs about 15 - 20 after 5

Dumbbell Goat Rows (basically these are leaning forward on your bench at 45 degrees, with your chest supported and then rowing) 33x10, 33x10, 53x8x4 got 3 extra reps so will increase the weight to 54.5 next week. I could feel a little tingle today, just slight. I would like to try upping the dose but then would not make it through 30 days.

Big Boy Pull Ups (all the way down to full hang, no kicking) 40lbs x 7, 7, 6, 6 got two extra reps and it was all I could do to hit 6x4 last week. Liking this already. Feeling very focused and strong

Big Boy Chins 45lbs 6, 6, 6, 5 one more rep than last week on the 3rd set, thought I had a chance for 6 on the last set, I fought it with my elbows at 90 degrees for almost 15 seconds until my lats and bis shut down.

Dumbbell rows 80lbs 7, 7, 7, 7 kick ass!!!! got an extra rep in every set, by this time I had a great swole in my lats and mid back.

Hammer chins at BW very slow up and down, 4 sets to failure with only a minute or so rest between sets.

Great swole today, nice increases, excellent energy and focus.

I did not have my camera and tripod and was running late so the only pic I could get was an over the back mirror to mirror half back shot that was shaky, so I will pass on posting. I will try to get a shot with the camera next week. Kind of bummed cause I know it was looking swole.
    UP the IRONS!

Well Beast man here it is

Thursday Shoulders and Traps popped my 6 pills, this time I took Barbs advice, 1 or 2 at a time Got a real good red ear buzz and hand tingle today, must have been some extra niacin in there WOW!!!

Seated Press 38x10, 10, 58x10, 81x7, 7, 7, 7 wow felt very solid and strong despite my tweaked forearm and left shoulder. an extra rep on the last three sets, pretty impressive!

Seated Arnolds 34lbsx7, 7, 7, 7 extra rep on every set, pretty damned cool, liken this baby!!!

Upright rows, new weight 91lbs 6, 6, 6, 6 ok, that was work

Smith shrugs 200x 7, 7, 7, 7 extra rep in every set the hits keep coming
    150x 12, 12, 12, 12

Great trap swole, very good power and concentration and surprising increases in reps, not just 1 or 2 for an exercise but multiple reps per. Either me or the NO-BETA is kickin' some ass. I think I will take the credit
    UP the IRONS!

LOL about the tingles. I don't mind em in my ears, hands, elbow, but they drive me crazy when they hit my scalp. Jeez, I know how a flea bitten dog must feel. Thankfully when it does happen it doesn't last long.

The rush for the win..Cool on the invite

    Arms today

    Incline CGBP 68x12, 88x12, 121x7, 7, 7, 6 an extra rep on set 3

Flat CGBP 138x8x4 got 8 on the last set this week. Both of the close grips were ball busters whew!!!

EZ Curls 90x6x4 upper the weight and still got 6 reps per set, liken that baby!!!

Recline dumbbell curls upper the weihgt 34x6x4 right foreram is still alittle tweaked but abel to work through the pain

    Dumbbell wrist curls 41x6x4

All in all, a good session with solid increases. I am very happy with the week so far. I was near max on everything and continue to get little bits and pieces across the board. While I am not feeling any buzz or rush, i do certainly have a better focus and concentration and my energy is not waning near the end of the session. I also feel like I have more left in the later sets. Getting good pumps and feel some slight increase in muscle hardness. Will have to see how this changes as we progress.

Here is my itty bitty arm

    UP the IRONS!

Now that I am fuctioning better.....nice arm work. Careful w/ the higher wts. I always get myself in trouble when I am really increasing the wt. Muscles can handle it, but joints, tendons, etc are the weak link. I had that forearm problem a couple of months ago, dropped the wt some, and much better.

That bottom arm pic looks like you have gained some size in the arm and forearm. Nice work.

    Saturday is ABS day!!!!

All hanging exercises are done with a hammer grip, 6lbs per leg

Some moderate tingles this morning, nothing severe, staying on the 6 pill dose

    Hanging Straight Leg Raises 12lbsx7, 6, 6, 6
brutal, at least i got the extra rep in the first set, it is gonna be a real fight to get 8s across the board

    Hanging knee Raises 12lbsx9, 9, 8, 8
wow the 9th on the second and the 8th on the third took me too some very nasty places

    Lying Leg Raises 12lbsx8x4
two rep increase, the last two reps on set 4 were the hardest reps of the week

    Crunches12lbs behind head 15, 15, 14, 14 BWx15
    two rep increase

    before

    after NO-BETA Pump

    abs be popping!!!
Every increase is right on the edge right now, this will be a true test of me and the NO-BETA!!! SO far we are both passing

Thanks, i tweaked it setting up for dumbbell over head presses, so now I am doing seated barbell. I may have to drop the arnolds, cause the only issue I have is getting the weight to and from the starting position without re-aggravating it.
