    Best Lactose Free Protein???

Ok, so I don't do well with lactose. (Read that as I have IBS, and On's Optimum Whey Protein kept me more sick than I care to mention.) I have been out of the gym for some time due to being really sick, and now have my diet and stomach lined out, and now I am dying to get back in. So as the title says, what's the best protein out there for me? Any other supps recommendations welcome too! Thanks

I would say look at some of the higher quality whey protein isolates (CytoSport Whey Isolate, Allmax Isoflex) or look at non-dairy sources (egg, pea, rice proteins).

I have the same problem and I've been using Allmax Isoflex for the last year and a half. I tried a tub of Kaizen Isolate from Costco and it gave me more gas - more in the beginning but still unsettled my stomach a bit compared to pricier isolates. I was also fine on PVL Isogold but preferred the taste of Allmax. I found anytime I tried a new brand of protein, my body needs time to get used it. No diarrhea but definitely some gas. To be safe, you could take some digestive enzymes with lactase and gradually ween yourself off of it.

I don't know who you've been talking to, their taste buds must be screwed up. It tastes so good that you'll WANT to drink it non-stop. For an isolate it's your best bet.

I don't know who you are talking to but the Choc PB is the most popular Isoflex flavor! And it is 98% lactose free!
