Disregard the dreadful infomercials, but the Magic Bullet is actually a pretty solid choice for the money.

I love me some Magic Bullet.
Great for hummus, guac, salsas, smoothies, shakes, etc.
Not sure about nut butters, though. Anyone have any experience with that?Last edited by Myewze; 05-05-2010 at 09:54 AM.

That or Blendtec.
For a food processor, don't buy a cheap one, it'll collapse over time if used regularly. Cuisinart makes a very good one. Do you know the difference between a food processor and blender? I assume not, because you don't use a food processor for milkshakes lol.
For blenders, which is what you sound like you need, buy a Magic Bullet (~$40). Dunno where you're getting $100. Oster makes decent blenders too, but if you buy a full size blender, get one with a metal drive (not plastic gear driven).I can resist everything except temptation.

I love the MagicBullet but I have one small rant about it. It was good until the contacts in the base started sticking due to some crap spilling in there. So now everytime I pull the container part out the motor keeps spinning until I manually force to contact to unstick. I was going to fix it myself but that thing has no screws :\ and I don't want to break it apart just to find out it can't be put back together.
