Your favorite BANNED supplement!

Lots of supplements come and go and are taken off the shelf and reformulated while the bodybuilding public at large just hears rumors. Maybe things are different these days, but all kinds of accusations flew in the late 80's and early 90's.

Things like the original Hot Stuff containing methyltest or MET-Rx containing clenbuterol. Strength Systems USA even had the audacity to market two products literally called "Clenbuterol" and "Cyclofenil." Neither of which could have possibly contained those substances, with the Clenbuterol Plus product listing "bovine brain extract" as the source.

No one's ever proven the Hot Stuff or MET-Rx claims. As far as bodybuilders knew, the yohimbe in Hot Stuff was what caused all the controversy.

But, there are supplements that have come on the market--only to end up banned--which were way too powerful.

Here's a list of my favorites:

1-AD by Ergopharm -- That stuff was no joke, I promise you.
Cyclodiol by Supertech -- Only the original batch worked, who knows why.

And one that was justifiably banned because it was too powerful:

Renewtrient, Blue Nitro, or any of those GBL and furanone (which could be the same thing because I'm not a chemist) products. I knew girls who had been date raped with that drug in college.

I've only taken two things that have been banned... Hyperdrol X2 last year (w/ Mass FX) and now I am currently taking Novedex XT (with ActX/MaxOut) but it's too early to make a good comparison. I think I'll probably go with Novedex XT since it's source is less shady.

Oh yeah... I just remember reading the recent FDA stuff about it, I guess it wasn't... I wonder if it's on it's way to being though. It had been mentioned in some recent stuff and I jumped to conclusions. I did purchase it only like 3 weeks ago and had no problems then.

Best, but stupid toxic.

In one of the latest MD, Patrick Arnold wrote (paraphrasing here from memory) that it was more potent than dbol and more toxic than abombs (again, from memory, forgive me if I'm slightly off, but that's the gist of it).

Different products (I believe one was Tetramethylene Glycol and Furanone Di-Hydro Potassium (SP?) but pretty much the same effects. I would bring either of these back before ANYTHING. Sleep was never sooo good
