i sometimes start with a little cheat like some ramen noodles then it leads to a crazy binge eat. how do you guys control these? just avoid the cheat altogether?

Usually when this happens its because you finish eating, and you stay in the kitchen area, or around food. You arent satisfied with your meal so you look to eat a little more, and end up overcompensating and then just losing the mental battle. The best thing to do is to make yourself a meal that you are satisfied with, and take it to another room. Enjoy the meal, and just stay in the other room. Preoccupy yourself with something else. If you go back to wash the dish and open the fridge and just look around, chances are you are gonna grab something to eat. Think about it, when was the last time that you were hungry, and were looking in the fridge or pantry and didnt grab anything to eat?

You just gotta preoccupy yourself with something else for abotu 20-30 mins. After that its pretty easy, but its usually right after the meal, when your brain hasnt received the signal from your stomach that you are full. Just gotta weather the storm.

it means that you're hungry -- esp if you're dieting.

if you're feeling the cravings, allow a few more 'cheat' meals (and choose to be okay with it, because you're still making progress, albeit slower but better than bingeing)

EXAMPLE: if you're planning 2 cheat meals for the week and you want more, have 3-4 cheat meals.

good to listen to your body, or you'll empty you're fridge again
