The directions on IGF-2 say take 45 mins before a meal first thing in the morning. The problem is I work out first thing in the morning. Would it be ok to take it with a protein shake? Or will this totally take away the effects of the product?

You'd be best off to take it as soon as you wake and simply wait as long as you can before eating anything. If this is only 15 minutes, fine.

I usually take IGF-2 without food for my PM dose, and I usually take my PM dose right before bed.
The reasoning behind this is that the insulin response from carbohydrates may impair the potential GH-releasing capabilities of the product- insulin and GH are antagonistic to one anotherwww.appliednutriceuticals.com

You could, as suggested take it first thing and then wait 15-20 minutes to have your shake. Otherwise, you could take it first thing and have NO shake.
And if you train first thing in the morning, you could always set your alarm for an hour earlier, wake up, take it, and then get up as normal and go to the gym.Writer • Athlete • Coach
