Whats going on here guys? I train 5-6 days a week @ between 21-27 sets on each muscle group. I am consuming about 1.2 g/prot.:body lbs. I have yet to make any weight gains. I feel like my strength is slowly going up but nothing significant. I began dosing @ 50 mg through week 1 and have dosed @ 75 since. Whats going on here? This is my first PH by the way.

Sounds like your trying to recomp, this can be very hard even on hdrol. You are going to have to be spot on with your cals if you are strictly only planning to put on lean muscle. Personally i just like the cut/bulk regime as it allows more freedom. I suggest adding another few hundred cals, bit of fat gain won't kill you can always burn it off later. Also your workout is listed at 2 hours? This is a long time does this include cardio? You could be burning off alot in this 2 hours considering your diet doesn't seem to be that big.

21-27 sets a week total, I assume....
Are you lifting heavy?
Taking a multi?
Sleep?
Rest from lifting?(excess lifting will deteriorate your muscle tissue)
Taking any AI's?
*another thing is that many products can be taken in higher amounts than serving label says. I've seen some products researched in databases that show effective doses at higher amounts than serving sizes on many products)Last edited by ToshiroMifune; 03-26-2009 at 03:51 AM.

21-27 reps per day is what I meant. I am taking a multi and get about 8 hours of sleep per day. ill try adding some more calories guys and just cut afterwards. trying to gain some muscle and cut out about 20 lbs of fat before the end of May for the Bahamas. Maybe I should do it in 2 stages instead of trying to do both at once. Ill cut during the end of my PCT like I had planned originally.

not 21-27 per set, I hope you mean total....
Also, the reason you may not be seeing weight gain is that you are burning off fat and putting on muscle, which will somewhat keep your weight the same(yeah I know muscle weighs more than fat, but you know what I'm saying).
And not to be stupid, because I'm a pro user, but mushrooms and astragalus help to build the blood which you will need for gains in all areas.Last edited by ToshiroMifune; 03-26-2009 at 04:10 AM.

Yeah on your recomp if you're losing bf% and replacing it with muscle you'll stay around the same weight but you should be starting to see body comp changes....
H-drol does take a while to kick in though. I didnt see anything until around the 4th week myself honestly and that was my first time doing PH and i was eating pretty heavy, not recomp

Before you change anything with your diet, quit being concerned about weight. Weight alone does not mean jack sh#t, get yourself some sort of tool to measure body fat and then compare BF and weight changes together. You said your strength is going up, but no change in weight. Think about it, muscle mass is more dense than fat, so if you gain mass and loose fat then your weight will remain the same.
Good luck with your HDROL cycle
One more note: if you are cutting or recomp, try to get 1.5 grams of protein per lean body mass and to do this you will need to measure your BF%. If you do this and never drop below this amount your body is in the perfect state to burn fat.Last edited by tdog69; 03-26-2009 at 11:24 AM.
