Ok, So ive been lifting for about 2+ years basically doing either fullbody routines, or splits, currently just got done doing....
Monday=Chest and Tris
Wednesday=Legs and Shoulders
Friday = Back and Bis
I did about 3-4 excersises per group. But now I wanna get a POWERLIFTING routine, but am getting mixed opinions, I have done alot of research but still feel lost. I understand to stick to Compound movement, ie. BENCH,SQUAT,DEADS but I dont know how many sets and how often! I would like it if someone could help me with those questions....Basically how it will differ in reps and sets as well as how often I will perform what lifts throughout the week.
Thanks,

I was in a similar situation, I bodybuilt for a year and got big, but not strong.
I got super lost too, but I just started with something simple; rippetoes. So far my squat as shot up, but everything else is progressing slowly cause I did them so much (bench, press)My Training Log:

one thing you'll learn is this forum is mostly dead at night.
another thing you should learn is how to read the stickies...
there's an entire list of cookie cutter programs.
i suggest madcows 5x5.*Mods/CS will not, nor can they change your username, so don't ask*
*Mods/CS will not, nor can they mass delete your post history, so don't ask*

**Sniff, Sniff*** (wipes away a tear)
you make me so proud!
lol
Ok, glad to help!
steps:
1) check the stickies mentioned above. Read them while eating red meat.
2) Pick one of the stickies and start it.
3) Check out powerliftingwatch to find local federations and/or meets that are in your area.
2.b) Contact the contact for the meet and ask them if there are any teams in your area to train with.
2.c) find 'em and train with 'em.
3) ???????
4) Win.
You could do away with 2.b and 2.c, but it might be good for you to seek some other pl's out and get some form advice.
Good luck! Welcome to the Dark SideLog: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=124348591

Read this for starters.

It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda
