Holy ****, this was the most pain I've had in the gym.
I'm sure you guys have all read how all the great BBers have passed out 'n' **** while training legs. Well I didn't pass out today, but the pain involved was phenomenal. I did a double drop set with the leg press.
warmups: 4 platesx15, 8x12, 12x10, then the main set: 16 plates for 12, drop set to 12 plates and then drop set to 6 plates. Sounds easy, but it felt like my legs were in a furnace.
After that I almost vomitted and I felt lightheaded for the rest of my workout. Even when I got home and I was washing my hands to prepare my p/w meal my legs were shaking.
I know it doesn't sound that bad, but if you really push yourself to the max with a double dropset it's even worse than the 20 rep squat.
Anybody else try this?

Yeah, gotta love when that happens. But since you pushed through it, that makes you the man!

That's why I love legs!!! Cuz very few people can train them correctly.
Dude look at Tom when he trains. His face would suggest that he's being tortured.

question. it's not unusual to start off with a pathetic amount of weights on squats the first time attempting them right?

That's typical, dude. No worries. Just start with good form and work your way up.

405's my warmup weight. I start my working sets around 985 when I'm feeling kinda weak =P.

Yup, leg day = pain
Even pussy-ass leg extensions can get really painful!

Great to see so many people taking leg training seriously. It's like impossible to find at the gym usually. Especially with teens.

lol i love the drops, im basically HIT now, but with no training partner i rely heavily on drops. Its can get pretty crazy lol, but its great coz u know that u have nothing left after, 0 in the tank and i can sleep well
Did Hacks yesterday (after squats and coz the leg press is gay at my gym)
400 for 8, then drop to 350 for another 8, then 310 for another 8, 10 second rest, then pound 260 til im gone, can usually get about 12 reps from this, and then proceed to be dead to the world for about 3 mins. Get up and do bodyweight squats (while holding onto something lol) til i cant do them anymore. One set of crazy leg murdering joy. Then onto leg extensions!!
