I've been experimenting with moving my deadlifts from back day to my arms day, just because I can't get into my workout without starting with a big compound, and it really drains the rest of my back workout to start with heavy deadlifts. Should I expect some issues with working deadlifts the day after my leg day? I'm just curious what you guys think about this, I did it last week and PR'd 275 on DL, and went pretty heavy on my squats the day before (135x15, 225x5,245x5,275x3). My leg workout doesn't include much direct hamstring work; BB Squat, Leg Press, Leg Extension, Hamstring Curl, calve work

Your erector spinae acts as a stabilizer during squats. I know from experience, that I can get very minor lower back soreness after heavy squats. Personally, I would not do deads after leg day. Your lower back usually takes a little longer to recover. I would hate to see you get injured.

why not switch back day and arm day now that you've moved deads to arms?

I didn't even think about that. Personally I've never felt any sort of back pain from squatting, but just because I don't feel it doesn't mean its not under stress..
Well my split right now is..
Chest
Back
Shoulders/Traps
Legs
Arms
Honestly I don't really set days, everything just gets hit once a week, and I always have at least two days off, be it the weekend, or one during the week, my schedule is kind of erratic. I'll also do abs and calves twice a week each, whatever days I feel up for it. My arms day has been lax on tricep work, as I think I might be developing tendinitis in my right elbow (oddly enough, triceps feel fine on chest and shoulder days, better pump then usual actually). So your suggestion would be as follows, (though you didn't know my split before)
Chest
Arms
Shoulders/Traps
Legs
Back

The only exercise I really struggle with after doing deads is bent over rows, so I started doing them first, then deads, and all is well on that day. That being said, just experiment a little and see what works for you. I haven't tried doing squats and deadlift days one after the other, but I have done lighter squats and heavy deads on the same day without any issues.
As for arm day, there are a lot of good compound exercises you can do to get started, for example, the power curl, or as I like to call it, reverse clean. This ain't the best video, but it'll give you an idea.

Heavy deads seemed to kill the rest of my back workout, and I just don't have the energy to do them at the end of my workout. Honestly I never do light squats or deads, pretty much always low reps, high volume (3 or 4 sets of 3-6 reps. Adding the compound into my arm day wasn't really a necessity honestly, I just liked it better, and I didn't feel like an ass for coming to the gym for all arms . I've never seen that movement before though, I'm definitely going to try that out regardless. One video had it starting at a kneeled position, with a quick move to your feet (like standing up on a surfboard), and then driving up into the curl. Looks like a great technique for some explosive power, which never hurts, right?
Yeah I tend to alot of work for my back, even without the deadlifts, its gotta be my favorite day of the week. Thats why I moved to a bigger split, rather than working biceps with back. I guess not being able to work my triceps directly is sort of killing my arm day though.

Well I beg to differ, I did it lol, physics be damned.
So based off your suggestion I'd go..
Back (calves)
Shoulders (abs)
Legs (calves)
Chest
Arms+DL (abs)
...Not bad actually, my arms have 2 days to rest before back, shoulders and chest are separate, and I could deadlift pretty far apart from squatting. I guess I just automatically put chest at the beginning of the week, force of habit for most people, bench can be hard to by on Mondays.
