To answer your question...Syntha 6 is a good one to take before bed because it is a blend of fast and slow digesting proteins.
Lean Dessert is for meal replacement or snack when dieting or cutting.
Here's a clue, look up the products in the bb.com store and read the product descriptions, which tell you what they're for.

I've gotta agree with the last poster...while Syntha 6 is a great tasting product, for the price, you get minimal servings and more of a meal than straight up protein. I guess it depends what you're looking for, but I personally go for something that may not taste as amazing but is better nutritionally for me. Optimum has what I think works perfectly, the taste is pretty great, not as amazing as syntha 6 but its got what a protein powder should have and its cheap. Just my 2 cents as well...BSN is a great company that has great products, but its really gonna depend what you're goals are in the end. And to answer the original question, Dessert is designed as a cheater type of protein for meal replacements or as a "Dessert"...hence the name, look up the products on the superstore and you will get all the information you need. Good luck, whatever you get from BSN you will not be dissapointed.

imo syntha 6 sucks.... you can get myogenix myolean evolution and pay the same price per gram of protein. I say this bc it only has 15 servings but at 42 grams per serving. Myogenix also has less carbs, 12 grams for every 42 grams of protein. Peanut butter cup tastes amazing, and best of all it has NO concentrates. I use it as a night time or a meal replacement.
BSN is full of concentrates and the choc milk flavor has 15 grams of carbs for every 22 grams of protein!
No contest.
