I know personally about people who found out about the Baha'i Faith through this and eventually became Baha'is. Interesting.

That is likely why you scored higher on Theravada Buddhism than Mahayana Buddhism.
Actually...yeah. I am vaguely familiar with Quakerism...and they are mystic in nature and practice Christian mysticism. So, though I'd technically label myself a Zen Buddhist more than anything else...the fact I scored high on Mahayana and U.U. accurately reflect me I'd say.Last edited by Enso; 12-17-2008 at 10:05 PM.

Theravada and Mahayana?
Theravada Buddhist - the liberation of suffering and the collection of merit and enlightenment for oneself. Theravada Buddhism is considered the Small Vehicle and is the oldest school of Buddhism and is considered the teaching of the elders.
Mahayana Buddhist - the goal is to be a Bodhisattva and liberate all beings from suffering, not just oneself alone. Plus, they are very mystical in nature and see natural phenomena as the physical manifestation of the cosmic Buddha. Mahayana Buddhism is considered the Great Vehicle and is a more 'modern' form of Buddhism, though it does indeed trace its origins to Siddhartha.
Obviously there is way more to it than that, but that is a very generalized synopsis.Last edited by Enso; 12-17-2008 at 10:30 PM.

lol, wasn't expecting that Hinduism one. Of course, I don't really know what Hinduism encompasses or whatever. That 7th Day Adventist makes sense there though since I used to watch one pastor guy on TV and he was from the 7th Day Adventist church.

Oh.. i'm mormon alright. Weird, I know. Partly because of this..
We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things."Sa souvraya niende misain ye ... I am lost in my own mind"
