    Can't stop eating...

Alright, so a few weeks ago I finished an 8 week long diet, and lost 17 lb. Since then, I've been bulking. I'm eating 4000 calories per day, basically all "clean." Every few days, I forget calories and macros, and just eat whatever for the day. This is where I go wrong. For example, today I ate my breakfast consisting of eggs, egg whites, oats, a banana and some milk. It falls in at about 700 calories. No big deal, right? Then, 2.5 hours later I headed down to the lounge to pick up some food. I ate an entire medium pizza, a pound of wings, a nanaimo bar, chips and a bowl of ice cream... And I could have eaten more. Honestly, I have NEVER had an appetite like this. I don't know what's going on. I can't stop eating.

Is it just my body rebounding from the diet or what?

Yeah, that is part of it. You seem to have a naturally huge appetite like me, it really never goes away...you can only hope to contain it on the cut. It is bad when you can't fully unleash it on a bulk, do you have a high metabolism?

The weird thing is, I could NEVER eat like this on my previous bulk (before my 8 week diet). I would get full after half the pizza. And yes, I do have a fairly high metabolism.

I think it's a mindset thing more than anything else; when we start this whole diet-body-transforming deal, food becomes a big part of our lives.

I used to just eat, and then stop when I am full (that was 3 years ago). Then, I started trying to diet and cut and stuff, and my whole relationship with food changed. I developed binge eating disorder. I would eat well for a week or so and then I'd go all out and binge on all this terrible food I would never normally eat (kind of like what you ate earlier today). I've been doing well the last few months, but I don't know if eating will ever be the same for me again.

That's EXACTLY what's happening to me. I never used to eat sugar and "junk" (donuts etc.).

It is 8%, ripped but I wouldn't consider that too low for the reasoning behind such huge cravings.

hey bro.....after my last cut I had this problem.

Drink a ****load of water man. Should help you out. Your body is rebounding, leptin levels are high and appetite is through the roof....cutting really screws with physiological alarm bells.

    This.

I'm cutting right now and I went out all on Sunday and ate about 7,000 calories. It was clean but still....that's ridiculous. I was just too damn hungry.

Our bodies are sure they're going to starve to death at any given time. It's a survival mechanism from the last thousands upon thousands of years of evolution.

I know how ya feel... I was pushing 8,000 cals this Sunday after doing a 3 month cut... along with about 4-5 days of consecutive 5,000 cals or so days before that... lol. Time to ramp up the incline on that treadmill!

OP, did you go right from your diet to a 4000 cal diet???

You need to increase your cals slowly. For example, 100-200 every week or EOW. Allow your body to slowly adjust to the extra cals. Try to keep them clean too, that is, if you are worried about your fat increase...
If you not worried. Keep pounding em back!

I started by was gradullay increasing it, but within a week I had cheated so many times, and I ended up just shooting my calories up to 4000. I couldn't starve myself any longer.
