how about a product with both casein and isolate? surprised nobody mentioned that. if you get most of your protein from whole foods and use supplements for their intended purpose, to supplement your diet, a product that contains a blend of the 2 can be used prior to workouts, after workouts, between meals, and prior to bed.

I agree, or for a budget end protein something like the ISS micellear matrix. Get something that you can guess your protein percentages a bit easier - i.e. two source proteins (casein, whey) instead of ones that are whey, whey, whey, egg, casein, bovine, child, whey, peptide, casein, whey.
Once you start adding in lots of protein sources (I don't really know why) you lose track of what each contribution is. IMO not such a good idea.I remember being relevant.
