i wrestled at 125 last year. did pretty bad. after the season i began weight training and gained 15 pounds of muscle with reduced bodyfat and increased my strength.
i dont really want to cut down to 125 again cuz that would sacrifice my gains right?? if i can just lose a little water weight to 135 would that be a better option??
ive never cut large amounts of weight so if i indeed do cut to 125 would i lose muscle(instead of water)?? how fast would i gain it back??

At 16 and 5'4, I wouldnt worry about it. As long as youre at a healthy weight with a low body fat, youll be fine. I mean youre not college or state champ or anything so dont worry about it. You should talk to your coach before starting to even consider cutting or gaining serious weight.

New Shanghai Log!
"225, 315, 405 whatever. Yeah these benchmark digits come to mean a lot to us, the few warriors in this arena. They are, however, just numbers. I'm guilty of that sh*t too, waiting for somebody to powder my nuts cuz I did 20 reps of whatever the **** on the bench. Big f*king deal. It is all relative." G Diesel

If you didn't win anything last year that you need to defend then don't cut, especially if you are at a healthy weight,
if you've gained Mass, and lost fat over the last year you defiantly do not want to cut back,
I'll tell ya I maintained the same weight through much of highschool and University to defend titles and such, though it was great meeting with the same guys I very much wish I did in highschool what I did the first year done with wrestling and hit the gym, I looked and felt much better at 140lbs then I did a shredded 115lbsVenice Fitness in Toronto are Crooks Worst Gym to deal with ever.
Took me 1 year to get fat, how long will it take me to get unfat again....

well it depends how much bf u have
i personally believe in goin as low as possible as long as ur not sacrificeing too much muscle and strength but if u have low bf just work on ur conditioning, skill, motivation
i personally can do crazy things in training and in matches by thinking of people that inspire me189, 215
ALL IN, ALL THE TIME.
I win for the love of myself succeeding and for the people around me who have helped me to be where I am in that moment, where all eyes are looking to me. I know I won't let anyone else and more importantly Myself down.

There is a hydration test to see the healthiest / lowest weight you can go to and how much weight your allowed to lose per week in order to achieve that weight. Just follow that hydration test results and you will be fine.
I personally am certified for 125 lbs but I wrestle at the 133 lbs weight class (college) but when I was in high school I wrestled at 130 lbs. Also take into consideration your competition for your weight class. At 130 lbs my senior year the 140 lb weight class had no returning state champions from the previous year and I would've won that weight class because I already beat the guy who won state at that weight. Instead I got 3rd in state by staying at the 130 weight class because it was stacked.
