ive seen commercial pull downs listed for 400+ on CL. for the price its probably a good buy if you are in the market for one.
edit: you can probably talk them down on the price as well since it is of no use to him/her if they cant get it in their house now.-Jay

Nobody here wants those piece of **** crapflex dumbells. Plastic and lighweight. And for $500? Five hundred dollas for 50lb dumbells. Are you ****ting me? Tonka toy weight.
Why buy those gimmicky pieces of **** when one can buy some quality powerblock or ironmaster dbs?You might fool the typical bench and curl nobody around your town. But you ain't fooling us here.Last edited by DiamondDelts; 11-22-2008 at 06:50 PM.

Their overpriced and crappy. And they are for sale. I wonder why? The 90lbs ones are crappy too. Bowflex makes crappy products when it comes to serious weightlifters. They might be alright for fitness. But not for someone who is really pushing themselves in the weight room.
And like I said before the ironmaster and powerblock sets are much, MUCH better for an equal price. So I ask again why would anyone want the crapflex at that inflated price.
And ps................
Just because you got ripped off and paid 5 times what crappy equipment is worth doesn't mean it's worth that or should resale for anything worth those inflated prices.

I'm sorry bro. I don't mean to come across as an ******* But I really, really HATE bowflex products. To each his own.
But you have to admit they are crappily made. You can't drop them. And powerblocks are superior to them. But it's a free country.
I apologize for coming across overly harsh in my earlier posts.

Its Fine im use to it lol but really. They are fast to use / dont seem cheap. But like i said you cant drop them like metal weights and all that as they will get broken most likely. I mostly bought them due to switching from weights fast due to limited time we have had at work lately. i was looking at them powerblocks vs the bowflex dumbbells. but i found that the bowflex dumbbells were nicer to hold. But then again the floor model of the powerblock was somewhat broken.

You can buy them at Sears for $399,and they go on sale with the stand for the same amount.Olympia sports sells them for $299 and $149 for the stand.I'm not trying to burst your bubble but most people won't pay more for a used piece of equipment than they can buy it for new.

Agreeed but it is better than having them and not being able to sell them. You can find a pair or 90 pound powerblocks for around 200. I bought a pair of 125's missing 3 plates for 200 and bought the plates for 184 shipped so 384 for 125's and I bought a pair of 85's with stand for 325.

I've never seen a floor model Selecttech that wasn't broken, and I've never seen a broken Powerblock. What was broken?Personally I think the Bowflexes are horrible to hold, even with just the bare handles they're longer than any other DB,and they don't shorten up with less weight like every other DB made except the Icons(total junk).
