    ya ive noticed that too. fat guys were always stronger in gym if we were lifting weights one day they would be one of the stronger ones. my theory is that since they are so big they have bigger muscles

    Maybe the extra dead weight around their body puts resistance on the muscle when theyre going through normal daily movements, so they get more adjusted to a person who's arm has little muscle but also little fat. Just a half assed thery i made up right now

    To be fat, you have to generally be eating an excess of calories. An excess of calories = growth. Of course most of it will be fat, but they also gain muscle merely because of the caloric excess they are taking in.

    Skinny people on the other hand, are skinny because they are either only eating enough calories to maintain, at most. Maintaining = no growth = no muscle growth.

    Well, see, what happens is that fat turns into muscle a lot quicker than it builds, so liek, fat people just transform into muscular people. When they lift weights, their body is half-way between the conversion of fat to muscle.

    Something I've noticed is that if the fat guy isn't strong at first, and begins working out, his strength increases QUICK. I know one guy who's max bench went from 205lb to 255lb in no less than three or four weeks... another one I know could bench I think around 225lb (he use to work out for football a few months back). He came back and started lifting weights for a couple weeks, took almost two weeks off, came back and repped 255lb three times! What the ****?!

    yeah, the obese have to have some sort of adaptations to their massive guts that let them walk around, stand up, and perform normal tasks. Imagine walking around with a 100 lb barbell on your back all day long: I would assume you would have pretty strong abs/ back etc. to do that.

    its simple, if you moved around everywhere with a 100lbs vest on, dont you think youd build a little muscle. just think about a 250 lbs guy doin push ups next to a 150 lbs guy. thats a big differnce on any movement.
