QDOT isn't even a panel-type. It's a backlight technology. You can have QDOT w/VA, QDOT w/IPS & QDOT w/TN.
VA is superior to IPS in some ways, like black levels are super inky/deep (because there's minimal to no backlight bleed vs IPS), and it has superior viewing angles. Combined with QDOT backlighting, you get ultra deep blacks with excellent color reproduction. I'm waiting for one of these friggn' companies to get off their asses and produce a 4k 144hz VA or IPS QDOT panel (my holy grail).Last edited by InstantLoser; 12-07-2017 at 11:38 AM.

BRB, selling my PC so I can buy a GPU. Meh, I could probably swing it, but I doubt it'd beat my 2x 1080 Ti in SLI. 12GB HBM2 is giving me a bit of a chub though.
It isn't really overclocking in the true sense of the word. The monitor is really designed to run up to 100hz.. they're just calling it overclocking to sound cool. It's a gimmicky sales tool. Actual monitor overclocking involves patching the pixel clocker, and pushing the monitor incrementally higher into refresh rates it wasn't designed to support.
TL;DR, the x34 is supposed to run at 100hz. You aren't hurting it by doing so.Last edited by InstantLoser; 12-08-2017 at 07:11 AM.

If they were like $2000 and were on par with/could beat out 2x 1080 Ti's I might consider getting one. Dat golden shroud.... hnnnngggg...
I could probably still get around $700 for each of my 1080 Ti's (since they both have AIO water coolers) and that'd cover the majority of the price (again if it were $2000 instead of $3000)."That boulder is too large. I could lift a smaller one."

Been debating on replacing my Corsair Air 540. At first I loved the cube design, now its started to wear on me for being...a giant cube. Easiest case I've ever built in though and great airflow. All the cases I've been looking at from this year all have horrid airflow with these front panels that block everything. Not sure what to do.

Yeah the price is never worth the performance when compared to the "Ti" series cards. Like Jinda was saying, you can usually get the 1X80 Ti for 1/2 the price of a Titan and get like 95-98% of the performance. Since Titan's are usually crappy overclockers, the Ti cards are actually better.
