Audie how long do you spend on average in the gym since you do the 3 day split push/pull/leg?
I'm getting bored of my 5 day split and 1 day big 3 lifts, even tho I'm growing...
I did the push/pull/leg routine once when I was on roids and gained 5lbs but still it seemed to work. I think I can still get the same results since I actually care about nutrition nowLast edited by Johnnybomb; 02-27-2013 at 05:12 AM.

I'm actually still doing a 5 day split man. I just go 3 days on, 1 day off, 2 days on 1 day off.
I go Upper Power, Lower Power, Chest, Delts, Tris and Abs (Hypertrophy), OFF
Back, Rear Delts, Bis and Abs (Hypertrophy), Legs Hypertrophy, OFF
I spend about 2 hours in the gym because I take my time warming up and doing mobility work prior to hitting the weights now. I find it to be beneficial (losens me up) and also keeps me injury free.
I also do cardio for about 20+ mins on moderate state.CONQUERING BARBELL

I did the 3 day push/pull/legs routine once and I liked it. Only reason i'm going to start it again is because even tho I am growing with my 5 day split I think I do way too much sh!t each day. Big muscle groups I'm doing 30-35 sets and small groups I'm doing 20-25 sets per workout. I don't feel weak or over-trained but I definitely need to cut my time down in the gym instead of taking 1.5-2 hours a day. I figure if I do this split I can get my workout done in 60-70 min and still being able to hit all the muscles just as much on a weekly basis plus I should be able to handle more weight since I'll be doing only half the amounts of sets each time.

So far but I'm not drinking the cool aid. I can see how a few members are pushing xfit way too much.
Actually my regular gym owner found out I was doing it and sort of raged. He's a friend of mine though. He was cool once I told him I am conventional lifter first

They gunna get all Rev Jim Jones on your ass soon. LOL
But yeah, stick to your guns. Some of the people really need to have everyone do what they are doing in order to feel validation on what they are doing. My buddy would get ragging if he mentioned stuff he ate that wasn't paleo. I mean wtf...if someone really wants to eat what he wants, its his business.
I'm definitely right there with you. I feel good about everything above the hips, but lower body is seriously lagging. I'm the weakest squatter on this forum, except for Evo, who hasn't doesn't squat at all.
Its sad but my bench is stronger than my squat. And its even sadder, that I can do pullups with higher total weight than my squat too.My vids

You may have a strong core already bro and I am betting you do have it already. You'll probably just like Schmack just focus on working on your form.
Trust me, I had to reset my squats again starting last night and I'm getting all kinds of DOMS but not on my lower back (first time ever). I used to tend to Good morning the weight, no longer the case last night. FeelsgoodmanCONQUERING BARBELL

Yeah, I'm still trying squat with good form regardless of weight. But I've been going in the early mornings right now cause there aren't as many people there to see my weak squat. Once I get it stronger, I'll go in later.
I'm hoping the squat starts to really move once I'm done with this cut and start eating normally again. My vids

I've seen your vids and numbers, and you are a strong mofo. I gotta tell ya, you're pretty gifted genetically strength wise cause there's a lot of people your size and they don't come close to putting up numbers like you do. And its awesome that you are pushing that gift to the max unlike how some people have something they are really good at, but they kinda just let it go or aren't interested in seeing what they can really do with it.
