Search for the pain find the glory...........
Good alot of people think rest means doing nothing......in reality exercise is one of the best ways to help your body recover.....like after heavy workout days when your lactic acid levels are high it's more bennifical to do low cardio like walking to help flush the muscles of this as opposed to just resting.

Guess who's baaaaaack!
Just in from my cardio session. It was awesome today! Actually awesome doesn't even describe it to its fullest for me!
As usual, while I was walking up to the building, I wasn't sure if I'd sprint the stairs today (to change things up) or do my short sprints.
I ended up doing 2 miles of short sprints. It took me 27mins 49 secs.
Those numbers will come down in time; but for today I'm totally stoked with the fact that I kept up those sprints for 2 miles worth!
*happy dance*
I tried my cardio on an empty stomach this morning. I wonder if that could have played a part with my ability to keep going.
*shrugs* who knows, who cares. What matters is I kept it up for as long as I did

I've been trying to take Tom Venuto's approach to eating.
Ie:
Meal 1: Lean Protein, Starchy Carb, Simple carb (dairy or fruit)
Meal 2: Lean Protein, Starchy Carb, Simple Carb (dairy or fruit)
Meal 3: Lean Protein, Starchy Carb, Fibrous carb (veg/salad)
Meal 4: Lean Protein, Starchy Carb, Fibrous carb (veg/salad)
Meal 5: Lean Protein , Starchy Carb, Fibrous carb (veg/salad)
Meal 6: Lean Proten, Starchy Carb (small serving), Fibrous carb (veg/salad)
I've kind of veered off track I think as you may have seen.
Generally by my 3rd meal I try to knock out my simple carbs.
I apparently should be getting in anywhere up to 255g of protein.
The problem with that is I quickly run out of ways on how to cook chicken
or any meats for that matter.
It's not that I "can't" do a low carb diet, it's just a bit to extreme for me. It's not a lifestyle change I can stick with. Ventuo's way has been more of a balance for me, and by far the easiest thing for me to follow/stick with.
I used to really pay close attention to my 300cal a meal intake. But since joining with "fitday", I got away from that, and I think that may have been my downfall; letting the program they provide count my cals and add things up for me. I'm a real visual learner- so the pie chart and math it kicks out for me is nice.
Did I answer all your questions? Lol I have a tendency to ramble

Fair enough, you should always choose a lifestyle that works best for you. Tom Venuto is a very smart man, so you are on a good plan. You could also try timing out your carbs, for example, take a greater amount of starchy carbs in the morning and around workouts and then fill in the rest of the day with fiberous ones. That or perhaps taper down the amount of starch you intake toward the evening and try to eat mainly fiberous veggies at that time. Bes extra careful of the kind of bread you are eating. Try to avoid any that is enriched or contains extra sugars. Unfortunately when it comes to cutting fat, you do have to get into a routine and try and stay on top of your meal planning and tracking. Consistency really is going to be the key to success. You don't have to suck the joy out of your life doing so and there are ways to keep variety in your daily meals, but it is also easier in the long run if you keep things simple so as to limit the variables that can come into play and potentially ruin your hard work. How did you calculate your daily macros and calories intake? Purely through fitday?
