I have had the peking duck that was really good. But that Noodle and beef/pork dish looks so nom nom nom
Pics of said Popeyes or this didn't happen.
No if it's too late we don't see the post consumption pics lol
Nathan Philly not even once.
You want some really cheese steaks, go to Philadelphia and hit up Pat's or Geno's for their famous cheesesteaks. They take their cheese steaks there so seriously, both of the competing shops were adjacent to one another.
I mean these freaking Italians are very competitive and take it personal lolCONQUERING BARBELL

For all the Versa Gripps owners. I saw a big dude with them a few weeks ago. I asked him how he liked them and he said he loved them. He said he could do so many more pull ups with them. I said oh yeah? how many with and w/o? he said 14 w/o and 25 with.
I wanted to say, no way, prove it, but i didnt.

Versa Gripps are the tits brah. It's not like using straps since you still have to grip the bar pretty tight to hold on to it, but I like the gripness of the straps that
it can let me squeeze out more reps than just raw doggin it.
Dang I must have been MISC'n lately picking up too much of the lingo.CONQUERING BARBELL

I don't do full ROM pull-ups either. I can give a rats ass what someone thinks about me and my lifting ways.
Especially when you NyKwan weight 160. Add a hundred and I will care.
:}
When I was gonna join marines I did 24 pull ups full rom for the pull up test. I do that now also but would like to get 30 like you someday.
Sup brahs I'm hurting post op now. Might get splint losened up. Didn't get any sleep from pain.Instagram= lighteyedhapa

You'll get stronger faster doing full ROM. Thats my secret that noone ever listens to.
I can do still hit 6 good reps with 90lbs. Is that close enough?
But for cereal, lots of people ask me how to get stronger on pullups and I tell them they need to hit the full ROM cause you use actually different muscles depending on the part of the ROM you are in. Thast why for me, its like doing deep squats. I need to hit full ROM or it doesn't feel like its working.Last edited by nykwan; 04-02-2013 at 10:07 AM.

Unless you are really going to super high reps like the guys in the thread in the Misc, I would just focus on the weighted for strength. The reps actually come along for the ride. Cause that other year when I did that contest, all of those guys were working on high rep sets. But I kinda just did my usual 6-8 reps or pyramid weighted, and only did 1 set of max reps at the end of each workout.
And the reps just came..just like guys benching alot can bench 135lb for a ton of reps. I haven't done high rep pullups in over a year, and I'm pretty sure I can still hit 25 at anytime just from the weighted sets.My vids

Yeah, thumbless will be stronger. I do that too, but thick bars still bother me. Working on a thick bar is actually what gave me tendonitis on the elbow a few years ago. I was doing them without the Versagrips cause I wanted to work on grip strength, and thicker bars work the grip more. But that elbow tendon hurt for like 3 months cause of that. Never going barehand on thick bars again.
Tip1:
If you can, try to get your pinkie side of the hand just slightly higher or slighlyt more toward the top of the bar. Its not alot, but it should feel like its just a little more on top of the bar than the thumbside. It'll kinda rotate your shoulders ever so slightly, and it'll put you in a slightly stronger position, esp at the bottom of the reps. Its a small detail that most people don't notice, but it helps. Try it and see if you feel a difference.
Tip2:
On light weight, like bodyweight for some or lighter weight lat pulldowns, this doesn't really matter. But when you start getting tired during pullups, or its heavy, like for weighted you can pay attention to this tip. That pulling motion won't be straight up and down. I feel the most strength from using more of what gymnasts would call a hollow body shape on the bottom half or maybe bottom 2/3rds of the ROM. Then my body kinda ends up more with my shoulders pullback and chest coming out, like sticking it out, on the top third and where you get your chin above the bar.
Hollowbody is just where your hips are more forward and chest ends up in a sort of concave shape and shoulders slightly forward. It uses the lats more in this position.
The top third, you should try to push the chest back out and pull shoulders back cause its hard to the chin to the bar in hollow body position. So its like the bottom 2/3rds uses alot of lats and the top 1/3, hits that upper back, shoulder blade area.
Try this too.
Gonna get all the asian brahs to be super strong pullers.Last edited by nykwan; 04-02-2013 at 10:54 AM.
